
Had dinner at RH Rooftop in New York with friends visiting from Australia. Decided to take them to the Raleigh RH the following week. Food was good at both but there were two hostesses at the RH Raleigh location. One greeted us warmly and asked the name for the reservation. The other never looked up from her laptop, but interrupted the conversation to ask my name. Although I had already given it to the hostess standing right next to her, she still asked again without making eye contact or providing any greeting. She immediately repeated a man's name. Had she greeted us and took a minute to look at us she would have known I was a lady. When I corrected her she finally looked at me and her facial expression was beyond welcoming. She took over the check-in. We were about 20 minutes early so when I asked her if we could be seated early her facial expressions went from bad to worst. She was chewing gum and very argumentative. Things went from bad to worst and she continued frowning, so much so I asked for a manager. The manager promptly got everything back on track and took great care of me and my friends. We had a good dinner and enjoyed the atmosphere at the Raleigh location as much as we did at the New York RH Rooftop once we were seated. Read moreI have been a customer of RH since 2017, having furnished 90% of my primary residence in Durham and my vacation home in SC with RH furniture and decor. In the last month, I furnished a guest bedroom with RH furniture after moving my daughter’s existing furniture to her new apartment. With the RH Members Program, I received 25% savings on everything, which made the products more affordable than the regular pricing (and not more expensive than Pottery Barn and Arhaus brands). Over these past 3 years of shopping at RH, I have been extremely pleased with the customer service, delivery and quality. In the few instances where there was an issue, RH resolved it immediately without giving me any trouble. The delivery process is consistently easy - always on time and efficient. The delivery team was even efficient delivering to my vacation home in SC where there was no good parking for their truck. I was a nervous wreck but the delivery team handled it all with poise! I have had issues at other furniture retailers, but never with RH, so I will always be a loyal customer. My only suggestion to RH is to consider going back to offering more traditional furniture styles - they seem to be moving too much into the modern and contemporary style, but that doesn’t appeal to everyone.
