Found this spot online as I was looking for good Korean fried chicken. I have to admit when I pulled up to the spot, I was apprehensive. The restaurant is located in a dying strip mall and the outside is very unassuming. BUT! The food was amazing. I ordered fried dumplings, spicy beef bulgogi, and fried chicken wings: 5 with SOGA and 5 with Sweet Chili sauce. Every single thing was perfect! The crisp on the chicken was light and crunchy even after being sauced! The Bulgogi was some of the best I’ve ever had, and the spice level was perfect! To top it off our server was amazing! He was fast, attentive and extremely kind and friendly in spite of being the only server there and handling the lunch rush by himself! Soo Cafe is definitely a hidden gem! I recommend to anyone who loves Korean food! I will be back, again and again!

Wanted to like this place but was disappointing. I ordered the fried chicken with their soo sauce and my wife ordered their bibimpap (hot clay pot). The sauce was good (a bit too sweet) but when you bit into the drum sticks, you bit into air. When you did get a piece of meat, it was burnt or over cooked. The drums sticks were small and umderwhelming. My wife's dish was served in an iron skillet instead of a claypot. You could taste the metal of the iron skillet and all the other meals that had been cooked on it. It was no very good and the portion of rice and meat was small. Another disappointment is that they did not serve any side dishes. Being a Korean restaurant, we were expecting small sides as that had been with the other Korean restaurants we have been too. Also they charge for rice. Wont be going back here.

It was me and my brother first time visiting this restaurant located off capital Blvd. I LOVE Korean BBQ so I decided to give this place a try and introduce Korean BBQ Galbi to my brother. They had great customer service and was very friendly. The Galbi was good. Me and my brother LOVED the corn and the homemade sauce they put on it. We didn’t feel rushed to hurry up and finish eating our food and felt relax while enjoying our dinner with good conversation. The restaurant is very calming with a great atmosphere and warm earth tone colors and feel. They do live karaoke starting this Fall 2022. Would definitely revisit and recommend.

My wife and I found out about this place after reading an article about the top 8 spot for the best wings in the Triangle. I must say, they didn't disappoint. I am more of a fan of grilled chicken wings so these we're not the best chicken ones I ever had... but these wings were fried just right and good size. My wife said they were the best ones that she had ever had :-) We had the soga sauce and sweet thai, both sauces were good but the soga was our favorite. So the next time you get an urge for wings, go visit Cafe Soo.... these chicken wings will change your life :) Highly recommend 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Very lovely interior. Service was sub-par; the waiter topped off our drinks once & did not offer after that, and less than two minutes after dropping off our checks he made sure to "let us know" we pay at the register up front & came back around a second time to tell us again. I want to note, 1/3 of our party was still eating when the checks were dropped off so it was not as if we were loitering around at the table. Beyond the slight rudeness of the waiter, the food was delicious & look nice as well. Would enjoy eating here again but hopefully with a different staff member serving us.

For the past 7 years, Soo cafe has been my go to Korean restaurant for vegetarian bibibamp, along with some soju :) I have introduced many of my friends to this hidden gem and they have enjoyed the food here as well. The service was fast, beautiful decor that gives a warm and cozy vibe. Josh was a wonderful host !
