Zaxbys Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Raleigh

Tough chicken as usual.

I assume that years ago, Zaxby's chicken was good and tender... Which is why it became famous.

But I'm afraid they have relaxed their standards, at least in the last dozen years or so.

And it's really mystifying, since frying chicken strips is so easy. It's the one thing that they specialize in, so they should be nailing it every time.

And I'm not speaking about only this location. I visited others in the area and they all have the same problem

Over the last few years, I would estimate that just one out of every five chicken strips I have eaten here, are good and tender. But it's for this reason that the only time I come here is when my kids want to.

But most of them are tough and rubbery and or freezer-burned.

One time I got some chicken strips at Hardee's that would blow the pants off of anything here. Then the next time I tried them at Hardee's they were more tough. But at Hardee's you don't expect them to be experts at it.

The good news is that their coleslaw is great. And if you like thick French fries, then these are really good.

Cashier was awesomely friendly today, so at least they get good marks...

Meriam ,as she described herself as manger,was so rude to me today when I tried to tell her about the wrong order,she refused to help to fix my order and wanted me to pay again extra or the food will be wasted and this cost her money ,she said you pay again or I refund you ,and I said refund me she refunded me cash and through the coins on me in the car.The funny part is she took the food again from that was in the car and said I cant open the order because it’s already contaminated so you have to make a new order,but refused to take the drink back saying it’s contaminated.But how could she take the food and leave the drink ,isn’t contaminated already? I am daily customer at this location and some employees know me there, how could a manger treat customers when they did the wrong order and refused to take accountability on it ? One of the worst experience ever and I will never come back there .Sorry for losing a good customer when hiring people as MERIAM .Very rude...

Worst Fast Food restaurant experience of my life! I went for lunch &parked in the parking lot of the building next door which has signs saying for zaxbys customers only ( which I was) when I noticed the other properties restaurant ( asian place mama jees?)was no longer open and stepped 10 feet over to their door to see if there was info about what happened to them.... IMMEDIATELY! some towing company representative is taking my picture and slapping a boot on my car tire!!!!! And wants me to pay $75 I went to let the Zaxbys manager know what happened and he pretty much says it out of his hands. Then the owner of the resturant came around, shared what happed with him and he did NOTHING ! Later saw tow truck guy repeatedly hanging out in the restaurant, with the Owner , waiting for the next victim. I understand it maybe a problem with people parking and walking off elsewhere, but I swear I was 2 minutes & 15 feet away from my car, it's just rediculos...
