Highly recommend this place for a sustainable asian food option! Food was quick, service was nice, the space was adorable!
I initially went there to have a tea with some snack. I had very little expectation on their food menu since it is a ‘tea place.’ However, their rice plate with tea brewed pork hit the bomb. It tastes very authentic and healthy like home food. I loved the slow cooked egg a lotttttt. I also loved their compostable disposable spoon, paper to go box, and paper straw.
Only feedback would be 1) how about add any sort of pickle or Kimchi as a side? 2) how about replacing the plastic cup with more sustainable option.
That would be only two suggestions! Which normally could be countless of feedbacks for other places.... I love asian food but I hate when it comes out in a plastic/styrofoam box with plastic spoons... which was the only place so far I had on Hillsborough street. I am very happy to find this place on campus and can’t wait to go again to try pork chop rice plate. (looks similar to Pork cutlet or donburi)
Oh the strawberry black fruit tea was nice too! I brought the leftover and gave it to my hubby and he approved it to be delicious as well!!!
Thank you Cha house for...

Very disappointing after reading such good reviews. I ordered the pork chop platter as it seemed to be a customer favorite and came recommended. The veggies were over salted, the pork was very soggy and the rice was not great either. After a few tentative bites I had no choice but to render it totally inedible. I was pleased with the tea and would give the tea itself 4 stars. I ordered black milk tea, classic, light sugar, light ice with Boba and it was very good. More expensive than my normal Ceylon Black Milk Tea (Milk Lab, also excellent) but definitely of a higher quality then most of the other competitors and something I would happily purchase again. Quality tea is hard to find. The flavor was clean and crisp tasting and very aromatic. The boba is of good quality and portioned appropriately. I'll definitely stop in for tea when the one in Cary opens but I'm hesitant to try...
Read moreThis place has reopened twice since I started college in 2022.
Until it closed for the first time in 2023, it was absolutely perfect. There were cute doodles on the wall where trashcans were; they seemed very involved in the community and committed to environmental causes. The seating area by the board games was very cute and well decorated. There were plants everywhere, it was staffed by college students, and local student orgs held art sales and meetings here.
First time it reopened, it was stripped away of personality and the food changed in quality. Second time it reopened, it was summer time and the AC barely works. Now it’s just devoid of personality and community and it’s barely a relief from the summer heat.
Whoever owned this up until Thanksgiving 2023, please repurchase this establishment or teach the new owners a...
