Oak City Pizza & Grill — Restaurant in Raleigh

I want to start by saying that this pizza is definitely top 5 worst in Raleigh. Wayyy too over priced and not good at all. I just paid $17 for two slices and one soda lol. I’ve been 30 states plus, and grew up on NY sliced pizza. This pizza tasted like oven baked pizza rolls from food lion! No kidding! They claim to use fresh products but pizza taste just like dough and old cheese. I would not waste my time or $$ coming here. Try Frank’s pizza, Vic’s, primos in Cary or even Rokus! For god sake, you can walk accross the street to checkers and get a better tasting pizza than what I had last night. They’re probably so used to jerking and taking advantage of intoxicated young adults!

lol, is this even a real spot? Out of my 30 years of living, moved to NC 4 years ago…I’ve never been served two slices of pizza on two separate plates and the person slaps the other hot pizza on top of the other pizza so now the cheese gets stuck all over the plate. Like why would you put a plate of hot pizza directly on top of another hot plate of pizza ?? Then that’s unsanitary!!!! Why would you put a dirty bottom plate on top of someone’s food they’re about to eat? I would get safe serve to come check them out, because last thing we need is getting sick from a simple pizza. Moral of the story, the pizza isn’t good, the price is way tooo high, customer service is subpar…the place didn’t even have garlic powder to season down that dry, bland, old pizza. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! Go get some real good sliced pizza up the road!!! Shoot, you are better off paying $6.99 for a standard mediocre dominos pie ! Lol if anybody isn’t from Raleigh or NC, as soon as you take your first bite…you will understand where I’m coming from, my two year old daughter can make a better pie then these dudes. Take your $$ somewhere else, NKT WORTH...

Worst customer service possible. Wish I could give zero stars.

The guy at the billing had an attitude, did not even look face to face while taking the order, later messed up the order, we ordered for a vegetarian Stromboli and we received a steak or some meat Stromboli. We went all the way home to realize we had the wrong order. Since we lost interest in eating at the same place after all this, we came back to return the order and ask for a refund.

The guy said he could make the new one and we explained him we would like a refund and not a new one. He agreed to refund and during the conversation, He asks why twice and then we proceeded to say we are vegetarian and we lost interest, to which he replied “You lost interest too quickly” and proceeded to escalate the conversation with attitude and went on to call names.

When my partner said it’s ok, let it go I will leave a review, he replied yeah go ahead leave a review and proceeded to escalate further.

Would not stop arguing when we clearly stopped the conversation, he then said don’t leave a review, I will make u a new one and give u a refund, when we clearly stated we really don’t want the food from this place. He now kept offering us free food.

Mistakes can happen, but when u are not interested in what the customer has to order and when u mess up the order, you have a chance to correct, you could have a bad day, that’s ok, but that doesn’t give you the right to make a mistake on order and go on to argue and show attitude and call names to customer.

Wonder if the owner would like to pull the video recording and check our conversation to find out who clearly escalated the situation. Worst Experience Timestamp: Sunday, 29th September,...

Way too overpriced and overhyped..

1 - they were out of some ingredients which is immediately a turn off 2- the food took about 20 mins to come out, only two pizzas 3 - they don’t have cups for drinks, which I find odd, even if you only serve cans 4- they don’t even have proper soap in the bathroom, it’s the remaining of whatever soap was left in the bottle mixed with some water. I’m sorry but if you’re overcharging for “pizza” AT LEAST have a clean bathroom with proper sanitation stations and hand soap. 5 - the pizza crust is hard and honestly low quality. we were excited to find a halal meat pizza place in raleigh but such a disappointment.

Oh AND they charge 3% card fee, LMAO, couldn’t that be factored into the overpriced pizza at least? 😂

Replying to the rude “owner” who had the audacity to respond to my honest review (and many others with 1 star reviews) in a defensive manner instead of taking it as a learning opportunity, AFFORDING food has nothing to do with assessing the value of your overpriced pizza and dry crust. The minimum you can do when you up-charge at every level is add value back in other customer touch points like the freaking soap in your bathroom.
