Walked in after seeing the menu on the window and seeing the spicy pork noodles for a decent price.
The atmosphere and vibe of this little place is spot on for a quick meal. It felt very sanitary and the wait staff were quick to greet me and provide service throughout.
Unfortunately the food wasn't very satisfying. While the ingredients were obviously fresh and of high quality, the flavor was definitely off. For an item listed as "Spicy Pork Paste over Noodles", the sauce was surprisingly sweet and mild. Like 90% sweet; 10% spicy. Not really what I was looking for or what was advertised.
It reminded me of something akin to a sugary marinara sauce or zesty ketchup. In my opinion this did not mesh well at all with the other bowl ingredients, which were pickled cabbage, plain kale and dehydrated corn. Ketchup and kale...? 🤦♂️ I also felt that the noodles were too soft and a bit gummy, but this is more of a personal preference.

Read moreSeven Grams is a delightful hidden gem offering authentic Chinese cuisine. Their signature xiao long bao (soup dumplings) are a standout and bring back memories of the flavors I’ve experienced in China. The delicate wrappers hold a perfect balance of juicy broth and tender filling, showcasing the chef’s attention to detail and skill.
Another highlight of their menu is the Golden Soup Beef Noodles, which I find myself ordering every visit. The broth is rich and aromatic, complemented by fresh noodles and tender slices of beef. It’s comfort food at its finest, and the portion size is just right to satisfy.
The chili wontons are another favorite, offering a great combination of heat, tanginess, and a touch of nuttiness from the crushed peanuts. Each bite is packed with flavor, making it hard to resist.
Seven Grams has created a cozy and modern dining space, perfect for savoring a meal with friends or simply enjoying a quiet lunch. If you’re craving authentic xiao long bao or hearty noodle soups, this place won’t disappoint. It’s a spot I’ll keep returning to for the familiar,...
Read moreAfter shopping at Ontario Mill, we dined at Seven Grams Chinese XLB restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga, and I must say, it's a hidden gem that offers everything you'd find at Din Tai Fung. The taste of their XLB and spicy wontons is remarkably similar to the famous chain. Despite being a small shop with just a few tables, their service is impressively efficient, and our food arrived promptly.
My personal favorite was the shrimp XLB, bursting with flavor and featuring whole shrimp that added a delightful twist. The cold sesame noodles were another highlight, boasting perfectly al dente noodles coated in a flavorful sesame sauce that was simply fantastic.
The restaurant's interior is beautifully decorated with a charming Chinese theme, and it's well-lit, creating a welcoming ambiance. Overall, Seven Grams Chinese XLB is a must-visit for anyone craving the flavors of Din Tai Fung in Rancho Cucamonga, and I can't wait to return for another delightful...
