Was not happy about my food first it says curbside pickup there was not they ask for your license plates but they don’t come out I went in to see if my food was done it was not ready so I waited they told me the bag ripped so she was placing it in a new one I walked out to find none of my sides were in there and everything was dry no sauce so I went back in and they were so surprised, that none of my sides were in there, which is weird because they were barely packing it on top of that they were out of dinner rolls, which online it says dinner rolls, which they didn’t even tell me about it until I went back in there to let them know that it wasn’t in there and then they said there out the Togo boxes were so messy, and full of grease and everything like they were just whippeing it together mind you I spent almost $60 something dollars on this meal upon getting home everything was just so disgusting. The fries were soggy and cold, which she just gave me fries because they had forgotten them. They gave me hard pieces of meat it’s not even edible the big potato was hard and dry I would not eat there again nor recommend this place my sandwich was A pulled pork sandwich dry no sauce no pickles and onions. I got none of that. was not happy about my order the potato was $13 bucks to the meat was so...
Read moreI want to give a big shout-out to Dickey’s BBQ Pit and especially to Sam Srebnk for truly exceptional service.
When I came in to order, I was especially looking forward to their potato salad (I love it!). Unfortunately, they were out of it that day. Sam was very apologetic and you could tell he genuinely felt bad—he could see the disappointment on my face. I decided to order the baked beans instead, which were also good.
What really stood out to me was what happened next: when we got our meal, Sam went above and beyond. He found another side for me (I think he tracked one down in the back) and brought it over with sincere apologies. He didn’t have to do that, but he clearly cares about his customers’ experience.
Later I found out that Sam is actually the owner—and honestly, it makes sense. He’s the kind of person you’d want to be friends with. Friendly, caring, genuine, and someone who takes real pride in what he does. It’s rare these days to see that level of personal attention and character in a business owner.
If you’re thinking of trying Dickey’s, definitely do it. Not only is the food solid BBQ, but it’s run by people who care about...
Read moreI am really sorry to have to write this because we go to Dickey's ALL THE TIME....and typically used to go to the one on Ramon road in Palm Springs which was EXCELLENT in EVERY way. The one closest to us now is in Rancho Mirage and this is our second experience in about 10 days and it is TERRIBLE. The pulled pork and ribs were very fatty, low quality meat; we ordered 2 orders of fries and were only given one, the French fries are soggy and barely warm. I wonder if they would pass the food temperature test if this place was inspected. Service was really slow at 4pm when the place was pretty empty, why is that when you have ONE customer to serve? We will NOT be coming back. It's a pity because they used to be really great once-upon a time.
Revised review mid 2024: they have stepped up their game since my first post. Quality of the meat is much better, service is fast given they seem always under staffed. Will continue to test them out, quality of meat is better than Babes, though it’s clearly a different dining experience. Please work on those French fries…it’s not that hard to make a...
