Pretty good donut, cute little shop with friendly employees EXCEPT FOR ONE EMPLOYEE that pretty much ruined my experience. As soon as my family and I walked in we were greeted with “I CAN HELP WHOEVER IS NEXT!” It was slightly busy?? But not for her level of urgency… my boyfriend said we needed a second then she proceeded to SCREAM “LADIES!????” At my mother and I trying to see if we were ready even though my boyfriend already said we needed a minute, we then also said we needed a minute. We are tourists, this encounter with her left a HORRIBLE feeling with me. After a couple of seconds she began huffing and puffing around behind the counter while also yelling at people behind us to see if they were ready, she kept pushing us to decide and being extremely aggressive. Didn’t catch her name but she was old had glasses and brightly colored shoes. I am most definitely not coming back solely because of her. I ordered a baby cake and it was not what I expected. I asked for lots of pink and blue icing have fun with it, go to town. I ended up with a plain white cake with store bought candy pieces as decorations and the "icing" was the tube squeeze for writing stuff and barely there. It wasn't cute, exciting, fun. It was boring and not what I wanted to take home. HOWEVER I give them 3 stars because I explained to them about the cake and that I couldn't take it home and the owner fixed my cake. No more candy pieces. He made safety pins and question marks with icing where the candy was and added more pink and blue frosting and even created little baby booties with icing on top. For a sign proclaiming “Black Hills Best Donut”, I was hoping for a good experience. The day before I visited, the Facebook page of this business was advertising their next day donut specials. The strawberry rhubarb fritter & the birthday cake donut holes. Upon my arrival, I was informed that the birthday cake donut holes weren’t ready yet. I was able to get the strawberry rhubarb fritter, along with a Long John & a cake donut. Since I couldn’t go inside the store, I inquired about the description of a particular donut, which I wasn’t familiar with. The worker had no clue what the donut consisted of.
