Black Hills Blend — Restaurant in Rapid City

This is hands down the best coffee in Rapid City. The blend they use is rich and smooth without the acrid acidity that is so common in most coffee shops in the area. Their menu drinks are made consistently and made well at every location in the area. I regularly frequent three of their four locations and the drink is always the same flavor. Ordering off-menu never throws them off either and their prices are always fair and proportional to menu drinks.

Another big note: they have never burned my milk in my coffee. Which is, sadly, remarkably common for coffee shops in this area. These guys are doing it right and they've been doing it right for years. I am very glad to see...

Fantastic coffee. However, prices are noticeably higher than other places in the area. Prepare to take out a second mortgage on your house if you want a non-dairy substitute. Most importantly, when you pay the barista has to enter a tip for you, so they ask you the awkward question of "would you like to leave a tip?" I am a tipper, however it should never be pressured on your customers like this. Now, if I choose not to tip, which is perfectly acceptable as a tip is to show appreciation, not to meet expectations, I now have to have an awkward interaction with the employee which is diminishing...

Best and favorite coffee drive through in town, this location on Omaha is my preferred stop. I truly love the brand and the staff, I think they would excel if they ever ventured into a sit down shop venue. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because out of all the locations this is the only one were occasionally they go through a "burnt" phase where no matter the flavor the espresso drinks have a burnt flavor.
