As a somewhat frequent customer at pizza ranch, this was almost shocking. I have never been to a pizza ranch, let alone a restaurant as bad as this. Below are pictures of the floor, covered in food, napkins, and crumbs. Tables are filled with dirty plates, that are not being taken care of. Employees moping around not doing their jobs of taking care of plates or vacuuming the floors, cleaning off tables etc. Not once did an employee come over to take our plates (like they do at other pizza ranch establishments), nor did they even consider cleaning the floor or the buffet line, both of which were filth. (No, they were not short staffed, I counted at least 7 or 8 employees walking around, plus whoever was in the back). I was imagining myself as the owner of the establishment. What would I do if I walked in there and saw what I saw tonight? I would probably lose my marbles. All employees would be looking for new jobs, especially management. All customers would be getting free meals to help compensate for the dissatisfactory conditions they were eating in. I would be embarrassed to own or even be an employee of this joint. Can safely say that I will not be returning to THIS pizza ranch, and I hope someone higher up in their chain of command sees this and takes care of it right away. Highly do not recommend to any tourists visiting rapid city, or any citizens of rapid city.

First time visiting a Pizza Ranch. It's easy to imagine how ANY pizza buffet would be a magnet for children and families -- and so it was, here! Notwithstanding these vibes and their accompanying messes, we found the food to be decent, fresh, and abundant on a Sunday afternoon. In addition to both pan and thin crust pizza, there was fried chicken, a few sides, a modest salad bar, and tasty desserts; beverages included. I enjoy pizza and my curiosity drew me here. However, looking beyond an overwhelming desire for an AYCE situation, there wasn't anything that would leave the average adult inclined to return sooner than later. The restaurant offered nothing in the way of ambience or decor (why not play up the "ranch" theme?); seating was but bare-bones tables and chairs. The staff were friendly and promptly collected plates, but cleanliness of floors, tables, & surfaces left something to be desired. Still...the very notion someone would name a restaurant "Pizza Ranch" brings with it a wholesome quality that had me reminiscing of simpler times. The statement of Christian faith on the wall did not appear to me political, but rather a testimony to how both faith & joy can be shared through the act of creating even a humble food like pizza. Life isn't always about sharing the "best" things: often the act of sharing is enough, in and of itself. I can appreciate that.

Always a safe bet especially for my 3year old son. The chicken is usually fresh and hot. I also appreciate that they will make a vegatarian pizza for the ones in my group who prefer eating vegatarian. I would have given a lot closer to 5 stars but there were 2 issues that can't be over looked. One- salad bar and desert section were never refilled or topped off in the 45 minutes I spent here on my last visit. 2nd was the response and looks on some of the staff members faces when 2 well dressed native women came in with 3 children ranging in age from 5 to 12. To be fair plenty of customers had the same rude "under their breath" type of response.

We went to this pizza ranch as a team and were from out of town. We called them 3 hours a head of time to let them know we were coming and there would be about 60 people. We were told We couldn't reserve the room on Saturdays and We would need too call day of with a time. We then called them 30 minutes a head, after our game, and let them know we were on our way. We get there and the food was old and not very much of it which I didn't understand as they were already busy. It took only 5 minutes for the buffet to be completely wiped out. No salad, no pizza, no chicken, no dessert. Literally nothing left. It was 30 minutes before things were getting replaced and it took the chicken closer to an 1 hour before that was replaced. I would have thought they would have put more chicken in as soon as we said we were on our way and serviced the buffet. When There isn't even lettuce on the salad bar you know something is wrong. There was no rush on the employees part and everything was done at a snails pace. 15 minutes to replace lettuce. I am not one to usually complain or write a bad review unless it is very necessary. The kids of course started to get rambunctious and impatient and that made for an even worse dining experience not just for our team but the others in the restaurant. We chose a buffet so we could get them fed and get out. To be honest every family in that restrauant should have been compensated with a free meal card. I would normally never say this but the cost to eat there on A Saturday evening and have it like that is not ok. Not to mention we gave them plenty of notice so they could be better prepared for an...

I visited this location for lunch today. I arrived at 1:00 pm. The store was clean, even the restroom. Their cold bar was about half stocked, satisfactory. The chicken hot bar was satisfactorily stocked. The pizza bar I always find lacking. They seem to rely on a selection of pizzas I'm not particularly fond of. When entering the store, the couple ahead of me was asked if they would like a particular pizza prepared for them, that simple question was never asked of me, not once during my visit..I believe that would be a common courtesy to extend to every customer. I am a repeat customer, not frequent, but occasionally I will have lunch here. I've visited several Black Hills locations over the years. You claim that the pizza I prefer is a "Local Favorite" but I rarely find on your pizza bar. Maybe if my preferences were addressed I would frequent your stores more often. That and adding Bleu cheese dressing to your cold bar (or making it's availability known to the customer ) instead of all the ranch dressing you could have at least place one dispenser of my preferred salad dressing out (don't rely on the individual serving pouches you used previously [ those are NASTY]) Besides this dressing is a favorite for hot wings (a recommended addition to your menu, if not already there). Prices seem fair, especially with everything being crazy at present (except wages) Thanks for...
