Mediocre pizza and an extremely rude manager. I ordered a pizza online tonight. My intention was to send the order in online and pay with cash when I got to the store, as I have always done in the past with Domino's and Papa John's. Staying at a hotel, I was reluctant to put my credit card number in my computer because I did not know how secure their network was.
When I could not indicate that I would be paying cash online, I called the store TWICE. Both times, their phone rang NINE TIMES, and NO ANSWER. Despite this red flag, I decided to chance ordering online by credit card and made the transaction due to all of the positive reviews about the pizza.
When I got to the store, I asked the kid at the register why I could not order online and pay cash, and why they would not answer their phones. I also asked him to get his manager if he did not have an answer. The manager, "CeCe", had a very nasty attitude toward me from the beginning. I repeated my question to her, and she insisted that I could not order online "because of the app". I explained to her that I was ordering on the internet with a computer on their website, not an app on my cell phone. She very argumentatively told me that "it is still an app!". She also said that they were not answering their phones "because we are busy." Exasperated, I told her "I guess you don't want my business anymore." Amazingly, she responded "that's fine!".
After dealing with this extremely rude woman "CeCe", I got back to my hotel room to try my pizza, still hoping it would be good. The cheese and crust were okay, but the sauce tastes like it came out of a can you buy at the grocery store (i.e. Don Pepino's or something similar). Perhaps people in Rapid City are not familiar with New York style pizza and have no clue what good pizza is...but I digress on that one.
I do not understand how this place stays in business with employees this rude. "CeCe" certainly does not seem to care about losing customers (Domino's and Papa John's ALWAYS answer the phone when they are "busy" even if they have to ask you to hold--and I would have been happy to hold if they are truly busy).
Needless to say, this place will NEVER get my...

Just like every other Blaze Pizza on the planet.
Most of the time reviewing places like this is really hard. Everyone knows what they are and the quality is dead consistent, if not uninspired.
Not today!
When I got my salad at the beginning of the line the trough of salad had two tracks. One with fresh amazing lettuce sprinkled with parmesan cheese and croutons, and one with wilted lettuce and sadness.
Guess which one the lady serving me pulled from.
Go on guess.
So, let's take a moment and not talk about Blaze. Let's talk about the lady who served me. She needs to save rock and roll. Seriously. Rock needs the kind of apathy and outright contempt she showed me.
Hell, I am not even mad. I feel like I missed out on fostering the next Jonny Rotten or Joann Jett. To have her look at the options, look me in the face, then choose the wilted depressing lettuce then look back at me and ask, "can I get you anything else?"
No ma'am.
Nothing more.
This man has been stuck and you stuck it to me.
Well played.
Well played.
Now, go save rock from Billie Eylish (Sp?, don't care).
Sure the server did not care about my experience, just like prison!!
And the dining room was freezing, just like prison!!
And the tables were bolted to the floor, just like prison!!
But the thing that saved this for me was the options further down the line.
Holy hell.
I never had kalamata olives on a Caesar salad before today.
It was awesome.
I never had roasted red peppers on a Caesar salad before today.
It was awesome.
I never had artichokes on a Caesar salad before today.
It was ok.
So, I give this place five stars for the variety and for helping foster the future of punk rock apathy in the workers.
For those about to rock.....
We salute...
Read moreCame today for pi day. 3/14/2024 they had a special going where you get a pizza for $3.14. my kids were excited to go for that reason so we went we were in line and I had my son sit down at a table just as I always do and then I just ordered his pizza. Got to where you start ordering I told the girl I had two pizzas I needed she told me unless he is standing in line with me she would charge me full price so I had his brother grab him. As they got back to us in line a woman started shouting at us from behind the counter really shouting at my kids and said NOPE YOU CAN'T DO THAT YOU HAVE TO BE STANDING IN LINE THE WHOLE TIME!!! as my son who just rejoined us in line came back I said he has been she said NO YOU CANT JUST GET IN LINE YOU HAVE TO BE IN IT THE WHOLE TIME . At this point I couldn't believe this lady was arguing and yelling at me in front of the whole restaurant about my own son eating with me. People in line could have cared less as we were all in line minus one person 8 people total. And the other employee is the one who told me to go get him. I told her we had been in line just like everyone else she argued a bit more and then finally gave it up. I was embarrassed and pretty upset I asked the cashier who the manager was and he told me the lady yellong at me was the owner 😳😳😳😳😳 yikes !!! Not how you treat customers at all very out of line and rude. The cashier apologized but he didn't need to he was very pleasant the owner needed to apologize but she didn't so we won't be coming back. The old owner was absolutely amazing and extremely nice. This lady should find something for herself that doesn't involve customer service. Would...
