My husband called to place a pick up order around 7 pm. He was told that the restaurant was busy, so the food would take about 30-40 minutes. We were fine with waiting, so we went ahead with the order. We then came in to pick up our order around 7:30 or 7:35 pm. When we came in, we saw a bunch of people waiting near the front door. We went to the counter next to the "please wait to be seated" sign and it took almost 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged that we were there. Finally the people in front of us were seated and someone asked us how many people were in our party. We said that we were waiting for a to go order and we gave them my husband's name. The lady said ok and walked off. She never came back to tell us if it was ready or how much longer it would be. We then sat in the waiting area thinking it had to be ready soon. Another 10 or 15 minutes go by and another person asked if we needed to be seated. Again, we said we were waiting on a to go order and again gave them the name. The lady walked off to go serve tables without checking on our food. Around 8 pm we walked to the pay counter to get answers on where our food was and how long it would be until we could leave. It took a few minutes before a server again came to ask how many we had in our party. For the third time, we told them we had a to go order and again gave them the name. She walked back to another lady and passed us off to her. The new lady looked around for the food and didnt find it. She then looked at the tickets that were up to see how long it would be. Confused, she came back to us and asked what we ordered. After telling her our order, she went in the back to talk to the cooks. We saw her scramble around until she found a pad of tickets buried under some bags. She ripped the ticket off the top and hung it up. Apparently, someone took our order but never put it in. She then came out and told us to have a seat because it would be 15-20 minutes. No apology. No explanation. We said "no thanks, but we will just go" and we left.
We had talked to multiple people about having a to go order and it wasnt until demanding to know how long it would take that someone finally bothered to look into it.
The kitchen was extremely backed up. There were not that many tickets hanging up. There were not that many tables in the 40 minutes that we were there. The restaurant seemed to run inefficiently with servers bringing one thing out at a time, running into each other, and trying to figure out the mess that was going on in the back. Multiple tables were waiting on their food for nearly an hour and I cant imagine that their tickets were also lost. At least 6 tables were cluttered with dirty dishes and napkins from the moment we walked in until after we left. People seemed to be waiting on tickets so they could pay and leave but the servers were rarely out helping anyone.
I cannot say how the food tasted considering I never had the chance to try it. But an entire restaurant of dirty tables, angry/bored/impatient customers, and servers who dont greet you or actually help you makes me not want to come back. This was, without a doubt, the worst service I have ever...
Read moreGod I love the Pho! That said, am updating reveiw with some disapointments. Called for take out, when staff answered, was asked to wait a moment. The phone was put down, and forgotten. Granted I could have hung up and called back, but they have an old landline and may have taken a few minutes to drop on their end. I left the line open. I drove all the way accross town. Occationally I heard conversation nearby and called out HELLO? At twenty five minutes I was in the store and trying to get the attention of someone to order, also showed them the time elapsed since I called. She found the phone and hung it up. Placed my order, was informed they were out of the soup we wanted. Called home and asked what other half wanted instead. Finished ordering, had the food in about 10 minutes, good, didnt feel an honest appology made, paid and left. Got home, looks like they scraped up a half order of the soup we wanted after all. Good, my quart container of broth for the pho had about an inch of fat on top, not good. Cillantro, no Thai Basil, not good. Pho still acceptable, but frustration kind of dulls the enjoyment. Will update review next trip if...
Read morePlaces was good and easy to find off of highway 90. Customers services was fast. We went there at 11:30am. We had a group of 4.
Now let's talk food. I order: 1 order of eggrolls (good) 1 order of spring rolls (yummy and good) 1 order of fry tofu (good) Chickens wings (restaurant ran out) shaking beef stir-fry (food was extremely salty) 2 Vietnamese ice coffee (we ask lightly on the condensed milk and sugar ( coffee was extremely sweet, we had to diluted with water). Combination fried rice (rice was sticky and started to smell like it was days old). Carb wanton (overly stuff with crab) 3 large combo bowl of pho ( im from MINNESOTA where pho restaurant is almost everywhere in the twincities) pho is supposed to have an aroma smell, mint taste but not the one we had. (Extremely salty, we had to ask for chili oil and peanuts). (Staff came back with 3 little small cup of chili oil and said it was the last of their chili oil in the restaurant).
at this point, we are done with this meal. We paid for what we ordered and left. Never going back. I wouldn't recommend it unless you don't mind the flavors and need a...
