Mr Pizza Slice — Restaurant in Red Bank

Mr Pizza slice USED to have the best thin crust pizza but since changing owners, they changed the pizza (if you can even call it that). Go to New Corner instead, you'll thank me later. It's not thin crust anymore and the slices are much smaller too. Since changing, I've tried it many times in hopes that came in on a bad day but each time is always the same gross, cardboardy, flavor-lacking tomato sauce bread. Seems like the ingredients are cheap, which is ridiculous because they charge so much compared to most other pizza joints. Very disappointing because the original owners made such great pizza. Whoever bought it does SHAME by calling themselves Mr. Pizza Slice. Should have just changed names and called it called "Bad Pizza Slice." Whoever bought it is doing a great disservice to the original owners and pizza in general. I expect them to go out of business in the next couple of years, if that. Surprised they've made it by this long.

The silver lining, however, is that at least they kept the fries the same which have always been the best fries that I ever had. But make sure to ask for them well done because they tend to undercook them (again, another mistake the original owners would never make).

NY style , hole in the wall type of pizza joint. Price is average. Food is good here. I'm not a pizza snob, so I don't know what constitutes good pizza in that regard, but it is perfectly fine to me. The fries are to die for ! Like thick cut potato chips. Perfect little fried disks. Soda machine is "free style" which our family loves. I was slightly disappointed that all of the tables were dirty even though They were not busy at the time. 2 employees watched us clean off our table as they were folding pizza boxes. And there were 3 additional employees up front at the counter. One was clearly the owner or manager, the other was cooking, and one was openly on his cell phone while we were ordering. I spent the weekend in Red Bank for my birthday and we ate here. I ordered a white slice with broccoli and a plain slice. We sat in the back at a table. BOTH slices were absolutely horrible. It was about 8pm on a Friday night. The pizza was SO thin and dried out that it literally turned to crumbs when I bit into it. My friend ordered a cheeseburger and said it was great but that’s because it was cooked when he ordered instead of sitting out for a length of time like the pizza. Staff is oblivious to customers. A staff member came to the back a few times.
