Found this gem on Google Maps as we were looking for a different lunch spot that (fortunately) didn’t work out. We parked behind the building in the paid lot (about $2) and could feel that summer heat right away. Walking to the front of the building, the space had a shady covering and misters going for customers in the patio seating. We walked in and were seated right away upstairs, given menus, and directed to restrooms.
We ordered the breaded cauliflower which came out hot and had the perfect texture! It came with two dipping sauces, one spicy buffalo and the other a sort of sesame chili oil. We also ordered the steak salad and the Southern BBQ chicken sandwich. Great flavor on both! The steak was cooked perfectly! It was tender and had light seasoning, letting that beef flavor shine through. The burger was juicy and came with a hearty side of fries. The chicken was cooked perfectly as well and paired with fresh ingredients. We shared a Pilsner from the beer menu which was bright and easy to drink.
This is the perfect spot for a quick lunch on our road trip but we could also see that the locals loved it. It was nice to see all ages enjoying the food and chatting with the staff. We had a great experience and will definitely stop by again during our next...
Read moreWe're visiting Redding on vacation and ended up eating dinner at Pipeline two nights because it was so incredible. I read a review before we went where the reviewer said they had the best burger of their life there, and I thought - whatever, how could you make that claim?! But I get it now. I GET IT!! Because I had the best burger of my life too and had to go back a 2nd time while I could and it was just as amazing the 2nd time. The Lord of the Rings burger. They are smash patty style, which I wouldn't normally choose. After this, it's all I ever want again!! They grind up bacon in with the burger meat...the onion rings are crispy and incredible...the sauce is delicious, the cheese melts into it all...the bun is perfect...seriously absolute perfection. I will be trying to recreate it for the rest of my life.
Also amazing...the Mac n cheese, the duck-fat-fried French fries with rosemary and parmesan, and the Widow burger. Had we been here more nights, we would have tried more on the menu. Or at least my husband would have...I'd just get the LOTR burger on repeat. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and eat at Pipeline. Even if you're not a burger person, the rest of their food looked...
Read moreBeen to the Mt Shasta pipeline many of times and the Redding one is much better! Here's why...
1st, they serve actual fountain drinks! Mt Shasta only has there 3 special "sodas" that are twice the price of a normal soda, yes they're "handcrafted" but no free refills is a joke. So this Redding location takes the win for that!
2nd, Burgers are super juicey and flavorful and come with a good side order of fries or a large side salad! Mt Shasta location skimps on your fry portions to maybe 1/2-1 cup of fries max! They also do bunless and lettuce wrapped! The pipeline burger taste just like In-N-Out! Highly recommend
Prices are high but that's the economy we live in, 18-21$ range for a burger and fries.
3rd, salads are massive!! Way way bigger portion than Mt Shastas! But Mt Shasta has a bigger menu for some reason? So Mt Shasta wins there!
But this place is great! They have beer and drinks! Outdoor seating aswell and second story seating and a balcony for seating! Staff were very helpful and on top of everything for our party of 15! Highly recommended...
