DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! This venue doesn't have actual security! Yes, sure they will absolutely hold you up and pat you down and metal detecting is present. Getting into this place was not efficient! Once you are inside however no one will be checking your tickets or telling you to move. DONT pay for front row because you don't need it!!!! Just walk to the front of the stage and stand in front of the people who paid for front row seats.... No one will stop you! NO ONE!!!! I thought I had paid for front row, however ended up with around 50-80 people in front of my seat. None of them were asked to move and instead were provided with autographs. So I am letting everyone know NOT to buy first or even 10th row seats, just buy the cheapest ticket and walk to the front. That's what everyone else does here!!! I will never go back. Even if they had done their jobs, the sound system here is absolutely horrible. It's like someone singing into a sweatshirt the whole time. Its like a swedish chef sing-along . Come to think of it the whole experience is similar to a episode of...
Read moreBeing from out of state my first visit to the Cascade theater was not too long ago. I love the style in architecture of the building and the sign out front. Even the bathrooms match the decor of the rest of the building. The beautiful wall designs to the aluminum ceilings are all part of what makes this place so amazing. I visited during the Redding City Identity project event and was able to see many people in the city who love and support this beautiful business. It was almost like stepping back in time when we arrived because of the beautiful decorative interior. They had plenty of seating for everyone there and a refreshment bar that even served wine. I believe they had a balcony for extra seating but I did not go to the upper level. I really enjoyed the lighting fixtures that were there I stay to continue the theme of the early 1900s decor. the people working there at the Cascade were very friendly and informative. I felt welcomed as soon as I arrived. Overall I get this business five stars for the amount of attention and detail they have poured into this...
Read moreAnnouncements should be made about no food being allowed in the theater itself, even if it is purchased at the concession stand in the lobby. It is printed in the program, but during the Masterworks 2: Mozart's Influence concert on Nov 10th, we had people sitting near us who munched on their freshly popped popcorn and rustled the paper bags as they passed them among themselves throughout two thirds of the evening! It was loud enough that we couldn't hear many of the softer parts of the music and distracting during the other parts. Sound carries very well in this theater, so it was overwhelming. When Timothy Chooi started playing his Stradivarius during the second half, we lost about the first quarter of his performance to this noise, but finally the last young woman stopped eating. We were able to hear the rest of the performance clearly and we truly enjoyed it. It would have been a very incredible evening of classical music if we weren't forced to listen to people crunching away as if they were at a sports...
