I typically shop here at least once a week. It was one of my most favorite places to stop in and see what kind of treasures I can find until today when I was informed by Josh a volunteer as his name tag describes him, that he was informed by his manager not to allow me in the store. I asked Josh the reason he was not allowing me the store and he said they don't have to have a reason and that he was told by his manager not to allow any one from the"GROUP" inside. This "GROUP" he is referring to, is a small group of about five homeless young adults that were telling me there sizes as I was attempting to purchase a few clothing items for them as they are in need of warm sweaters and shoes. I am absolutely appalled at the way they were treating this small group of guys and gals. As one of the guys walked over to the dumpster to throw something away and three or four guys came running out of not just the discovery shop but also Dent Pros which is the shop just behind The Discovery Shop yelling at the young man " to get out of the dumpster and get the hell off the property!" This is the message were sending out to these young adults who are clearly suffering through some sort of addiction due to child hood trauma and instead of reaching out a hand or a kind word, or taking a second to ask them about there story or if they are in emmediate need of anything. Were talking down on them, judging them, profiling them,n catagorising them as all the same. This is the community we live in! These are the shops we are giving our money to, in hopes that it will make a small difference in someone else's life. I'm ashamed...

I love this location because it's clean, well-organized, and welcoming. They have so many hidden gems and in my opinion, they don't stock "trash." By that I mean they don't have a bunch of broken and nonfunctional things laying around. It's a beautiful, well-kept store that has gorgeous displays everyday.
I have noticed an increase in prices since I first became a customer years ago but that's to be expected with this rising economy. To combat that, they regularly have sales ranging from 20-50% off of either certain color tags or the whole store. I find steals every time I go and I will continue to support this thrift store. The staff has also been very friendly and kind to me and my children every time I go since I almost always have...
