A vagrant has already smashed a window, and someone is crawling around in the ceiling. What would Tom think? I was not able to dine-in due to these unforeseen events and my Diet Coke ration was limited to a single trip to the soda fountain.
However, before I was able to dwell on this sad fact my food was ready, bagged, and tenderly placed in my hands. I sprinted to my vehicle to get the food unbagged before steam destroyed its structural integrity.
The fries are quite thick, approaching steak fry territory. They are soft, without much crunch, but are cooked through without any grit. Greasy and heavily seasoned.
The burger, an Original with Cheese, was pillowy. Beef forward with a crumbly texture indicative of ground meat that is not manhandled and treated with love. The cheese flavor was mostly lost in the intensely of the beef, and unless you are a real lactose fiend, it might not be worth the extra 75¢. The vegetables provided texture but little taste. The burger sauce had a nice tang. Broadly pleasing.
Fiends peer down from the motel balcony, do they want me or my burger? Many such cases.
I was intrigued. I’m a sucker for a menu item shares it’s name with the restaurant. It is like when a character looks into the camera and say the name of the movie. The R Burger. Wonderful.
Returning at a later date, I order an R Burger, with cheese, French fries, Diet Coke. American classic.
The major change is the addition of avocado and bacon. While not personally very fond of avocado, it did not have the slimy character it so often has in these applications. The bacon was as good as should be expected from a place with such a large breakfast menu. I again paid extra for cheese, and my experiment returned the same result, very little cheese flavor pulled through, although with the more complex burger this was a forgone conclusion.
On another note, my fries did not have the season salt from previous visits. SAD!
Nevertheless, R Burger is the current leader of the semi-local pseudo burger chain (what’s with the Las Vegas...
Read more[AUG 2024] So the drive through employee was nice and the place is clean but the food WHOO BOY 1/5 stars, very dissatisfied so much so that I gotta do a review for it to help others. I ordered a Breakfast Burrito, Fries, a drink, grilled cheese sandwich and chicken tenders
Burrito = Big but tasteless and barely any egg in it Tenders = Bland, no seasoning, kinda dry and not crispy (even with sauce), my kids liked them though so thats something Fries = Cold, undercooked and floppy, Hey R Burgers its called SALT have you heard of it? Drink = Too much ice but ehhhh that was whatever Grilled Cheese = WAY too much cheese like triple cheese and I dont know I was just expecting it to be well-made but it was just a regular sandwich like I could've made at home like definitely not worth the price, none of the food was to be honest
Normally I call to see if I can get a refund or something but I was in a rush so I had no choice but to deal with what I had and move on with my life, but before I do I promise I'm going to make sure everyone knows That the place looks appealing and i've always wanted to try it but I can't say I will ever go back unless you guys make some serious changes to the food preparation.
Cook your fries and add salt, Do not skimp on the eggs, make sure your chicken is top notch, you guys are located next to a bunch of other chicken restaurants so do better seriously. Okay that is all I think Oh, and one more thing, if you do end up going there, then be sure to ask them to make sure the food is well made. You are allowed to do that as the paying customer. Okay thanks for reading
[SEPT 2024 EDIT] Sorry, I typed August 2025 instead...
Read moreThis is the worst experience I’ve had anywhere! This was a to talk disappointment after it was recommended. I would never come here or recommend this place to anyone. I ordered online and went inside to grab my order told the person that I was here for my order gave them my name and handed me the order. Mind you I asked for ketchup and hot sauce. To my surprised two burgers were missing from my order. I called the restaurant and they told me I can come back and pick it up. I was working and was unable to go back. I asked for a refund and the associate said they could not do that and told me to go back after work for my food. I told him that is inconvenient and asked for a refund and told me I can get a voucher and as a customer I should assure that all items were in my bag. Not only did he waist my time, blame me for his mistake and did not take accountability for his mistake. Also my coworker went during his lunch to grab the burgers which mind you made me sick and had to call off the next day. Terrible service and terrible food if I can give this place zero...
