Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory — Restaurant in California

Just went today and got one of the apple pie caramel apples. I was so disappointed. The layer of caramel was is so thin that you can't even taste it. I have had these elsewhere and the caramel is thick and rich and blends so nicely with the white chocolate and cinnamon, but here it tasted like they watered down so that the caramel wouldn't stick to the apple. I also purchased a dark chocolate peppermint Twinkie that had absolutely no peppermint flavor at all. Don't blame the Twinkie, don't over dip the not so dark chocolate or add some crushed peppermint sticks to it. This was obviously the owner who purchased the peppermint Twinkies and then resold them dipped for a massive margin. The label was hand written and not part of the RMCF menu. The cake was dry and seemed old. I hope this store does not reflect on how RMCF is now...

This was my first time here. Don't know that I would return just basically because it was pretty pricey. But I guess that's what speciality places are like. I wanted to get some chocolate covered strawberries. There was a special. Buy two get one free. I needed six. Instead of just weighing the four I was purchasing, all six were weighed and then a discount was given. I'm thinking it would have been more appropriate to weigh the four and then give the two free.$17 for four, if the other two were actually free, was really expensive. I was in a rush to have some chocolate covered strawberries made for my wife's birthday and needed them as soon as possible. Christian politely answered all my questions over the phone and made sure to communicate with his coworker Nick, as he was leaving for the day. Nick in turn made everything to exact specifications and made sure to offer me the company's current promotion for the strawberries.
