Flamingo — Restaurant in Redlands

We three dined (my wife and daughter) here yesterday evening. We have very poor experience. We were seated at the appointment time 06:15 PM. Once seated bread was served with butter and water. No dinner settings (napkins, folk knife) on the table. Upon requesting, after considerable delay, settings were brought. At the first stop by waiter, I ordered glass of wine. Wine was served, after couple of reminders, at 06:45. 30 minutes delay. By this this time i had lost interest in enjoying wine. We asked for more bread. "it's coming up" was response. Bread never appeared. We ordered Calamari. It never appeared. It was included on the charges and later removed. To compensate, missing item, we were given one small piece of Cheese Cake for 3 of us. Extremely poor service. OK food. Good bye...

Its a local bar, great for fair-priced drinks in the area, for that alone they get props and will retain a fan base. Stumbled across it as one of the only places and the only bar-bar open in redlands at the time. Its not trashy but a welcome more relaxed less formal less yuppie less trendy type of good ole bar in the area. Def A place for locals and a welcoming un stuffy bar for out of towners Please dont change too much outside of upgrading fixtures. Remember to tip everywhere you go especially when the initial cost are so fair, and I will eventually be back here when I come...

Expect really bad service if you aren’t a regular.. it’s always like this. I come here because it’s open a bit earlier than others nearby, and I work nights so I get off around the time they open. The drinks are okay and prices are okay to decent. But honestly you will be ignored if you come here.. I just deal with it and stay patient. Bartenders should work slightly harder (there were only two other people when I got here at 10:15am, not like he was busy). A shame for the barkeep too, I usually leave huge tips but...
