Ive been going here since it opened. I knew the original owner Rich when he had a pub in San Bernardino called the Pigs Ear. In the last 3 years the service and quality of the entire place has rapidly gone down hill, especially since the passing of Rich 2 years ago. The beer tastes watered down and soapy, and the meals are greasy. Ive also seen roaches in the establishment near the kitchen and restrooms, on several occasions now. The other night as I was stood at the far end of the bar near the entrance, waiting on my just ordered drink, the new overzealous bouncer decided to mace a 120 lb. young man when he was stood right out front the doorway. He couldve just pushed him back a little and then closed the door, but instead decided to spray him. Needless to say the pepper spray comes wafting in to the pub and hits me and about ten other patrons. We all immediately start feeling the effects of the pepper spray, including coughing, choking, sneezing, burning eyes, nose, throat and chest. When I go up to the bouncer and ask if he just sprayed the drunk patron, he gleefully and with a smile on his face exclaims "yes!" ( almost as if I was going to commend him for his actions),to which I politely and calmly suggest that it wasnt very well played, as me and about ten other patrons were doused in the spray and were feeling the effects. His response to me was " well if you don't like it you can get out too!" this was after I and my friends had ordered several drinks ourselves, and were waiting other friends of ours to join us at my suggestion. So after me, being a paying customer so often over the last 15 years was so rudely, and unbelievably insulted, I responded with "hey dont cop an attitude like that. I just got hit with your pepper spray, and me and the other patrons are still feeling the effects. I'm friends with the owners and have been coming here since it opened. Ive never even seen you here before. The one bartender "Gabe" then chimed in. His response was that the owner was now dead and so what? He then told me I needed to get out. So bottom line, if you want lousy, soap tasting beer, greasy unauthentic British food, roaches, and the worst possible customer service you can imagine, including callously being pepper sprayed, insulted and then thrown out of the place then visit the " Royal Falconer" if this isnt your idea of a good time out then do yourself a favour and stay away. Oh, by the way I spent the night in the emergency room due to the pepper...

I am only leaving one star because it will not let me leave no stars! We had the worse experience there! This year would mark the 10th Anniversary of our Mum's passing, since she was British we wanted to honor her memory by doing something she would enjoy, going out for a good British meal. We called and made reservations for 7 people in advance. The person who made the reservations was nice enough. We spent the day in Santa Monica and visited the English shops there and then raced back to the Inland Empire for dinner. When we got to the restaurant there was a sign out front "CLOSED" They were having a private party. We had reservations!!! I went in and spoke to a lady who couldn't give two shakes that we had reservations, she was unsympathetic. She tried to blame it on us because we did not leave a phone number for our reservations. Hello--the person who took our reservations did not ask for one! I personally had driven from Victorville to have dinner and guess what, I was $hXX out of luck. They did absolutely nothing to try to accommodate us. They were not sorry about the mix up. I will not eat there, ever-never. The staff was absolutely horrid. This was extremely poor customer service and disgusting...

My friend found this place and got a large group of us (~11) together for the Champions League Final in May 2016. We called ahead and they reserved us a table which was great but it seemed they were understaffed as another large group later showed up and they had only 1 or 2 waiters taking orders as well as working at the bar. Our waiter seemed disinterested in serving us and never formally took orders from everyone. Instead we always had to grab his attention (even if he was currently waiting our table he was ready to walk off before others had placed their order). One of our friends never got his order (which sucked because we had recently exercised and hadn't eaten at all that day) and other tables received food before us when we know we ordered ours first. Lastly they were unable to adequately serve us with beer (they couldn't supply pitchers and only served us when we caught their attention, even though they are listed as a Pub. We found it was easier (perhaps only possible) to get additional beers from the bar than to wait for our waiter. Given we had a forced 20%? gratuity the service was terrible and the prices would have been fine if food was served timely and everyone received...

I came on a Friday evening for dinner around 8:30pm. It open seating. Service was a little slow, but not bad and we got our food pretty quickly. We ordered brussel sprouts for a starter and the garlic parmesan halibut and buffalo chicken sandwich with an Irish apple cake for dessert. The food was all good. The brussel sprouts appetizer came out at the same time as our food, which we didn't mind, but we also realized the halibut came with the exact same brussel sprouts and there were a TON. I wish our server had warned us so we could have tried something else, but it wasn't a huge deal. The chicken sandwich also did have mayo on it which wasn't listed on the menu, and my husband hates mayo, so that was unfortunate. Next time we'll have to ask when ordering. The apple cake was very yummy. The portions were all generous.

Our waiter/ bartender was wonderful. The food was subpar at best, we got the Scotch eggs which had next to no sausage and tasted old. I got the bangers and mash and it was okay. The bangers tasted like the ones I had in London but the mash had 0 seasoning & there was squash?? Which was bitter. We did like the hush puppies and the apple cake came with a ton of ice cream too, thanks to our waiter. The women's restroom were horrific in both design and state, getting toilet paper was like trying to milk a cow while being on top of it, awkward..if you have limited wrist or hand motion, I don't recommend. I really wanted to like it but sad to say it didn't quite meet expectations with the exception of the exceptional waiter.

Food was great! The carrots could have used a little more cook time, but other than that I really enjoyed it. The restaurant is under new ownership so there's been some changes to the menu among other things in the restaurant. I was sad to see they no longer have Shepherds pie, but after talking to the new owner I understand why. I am excited to come back and check out the upstairs area that they're currently working on. I was told it was going to be some sort of VIP style lounge? Sounds very promising so looking forward to that! The wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu, very welcoming as well. Overall had a great time with great food and looking forward to returning in the future!
