What can I say about my best shop - til - I - drop buddy, good ol' WalMart!?! Lots n lots of products and goods to choose from and they stay open until 11:00 pm, so if you get a late start, which I often do, you can still grab those must haves and essentials - like paper towels, potting soil, pudding n pie mix, Scotch tape, razor blades, No Tangle cream rinse and most important of all - BLUE BUNNY ICE CREAM! The fact that there are so many of each kind of product to choose from is always a good thing. I must, however, take off my cheery, pleasant lady hat and let the retail sales Gods and any one who factors in as to why every napkin, every seedless grape, every bar of soap and PJ pants and boxed cereal and laundry detergent and drinking water and every can of tuna and every jar of peanut butter COSTS SO DAMNED MUCH!!!!! Why? There is no SUPPLY CHAIN SHORTAGE happening in March of 2024! Covid-19 and its variants still, horribly and regrettably, take innocent lives and break hearts the world over, but there is no shortage of willing- to -work souls to impede productivity...! What retailers and tailors and oil companies and the CEO's of the corporations that bake our bread and pasteurize our milk are forcing our citizens to pay for 12 ounces of bacon or one whole roasting chicken is outrageous and immoral and in terms of fairness and decency SHOULD BE ILLEGAL and punishable by equally inflated fines and prison sentences! You force us to choose between eating food or having running water and sanitation in the places that our children live and go to school! I track specific and various products every day and I watch in horror as the price of a can of diced tomatoes or a piece of fresh fruit skyrockets UPWARD every single week and in some cases, every single damned DAY!!!!!!! I long to call the citizens of America to action! To band together and use the enormous and razor sharp weapon that our buying power - no, in this case, our NOT buying power is and bring all of these O. G. INFLATION MONGERS to their bottom line KNEES! You see, if it was only gasoline or only whole wheat bread or only Xbox that was gutting our budgets, we could collectively vow to not buy Xbox or that type of wheat bread - not one damned slice - and bring these Carpet Bagging criminals to their profit-losing KNEES and negotiate our way back to a fair price for a fair product - but these insatiable beasts of commerce have left no product nor neccesity nor utility nor service Un - INFLATED. These Gluttons of the Board Room received an anonymous tip essentially directing them to jack - up the cost of EVERY thing EVERY where because - even if some of the worker bees don't drive cars and other worker bees don't play Xbox - every single worker bee on the face of the planet has to EAT food of some kind every single day in order to stay alive! I am not yet in possession of the solution that will return the right to feed our families and STILL be able to drive to work and keep a roof over our heads - but if we, each of us, set our minds to righting these agregious wrongs, we will prevail and not only will we survive - we...
Read moreAVOID THE AUTO CENTER!!!! .... WORST Auto center in the area, hands down. Not a Walmart hater, I am actually a huge fan. Having said that, there are good shops, not so great shops, and horrible shops. This one falls to the latter.
To be clear --- 2050 Redlands Blvd, Redlands, CA 92373!! AVOID THE AUTO CENTER!
Love your car & yourself enough to drive somewhere else. I would HIGHLY recommend the Beaumont Walmart Auto Center.
I won't waste time going thru each scenario. I have had 4 visits to this Auto center. 4 Epic FAILS. It's all about the Customer Service and experience here. Not being able to afford to go somewhere other than Walmart shouldn't mean you have to succumb to poor service.
We are all human. A bad day, it happens. A bad attitude or even a bad seed amongst the crew... it happens. NOT the case here.
I waited to speak to a manager until my 4th poor experience. 4 in a row, none the less. So I finally requested to speak to a manager.
Enter... Eli.
Unfortunately, after speaking with Eli for about 5 minutes... it's clear why the Auto Center team is like it is. Eli wasn't surprised at anything I told him. You could tell he has heard it before, most likely many times. * hint, hint.. this means he has had the opportunity to make it better but didn't *
The acceptance of meritocracy was mind blowing. I have worked in Customer Service for 30+ years and in management for over 20 years. The Auto Center's customer experiences are a direct reflection of Eli's management.
Eli ONLY cared when I advised I would be following up with Corporate. That got his attention.
He didn't apologize or recognize a poor experience for a customer and try to make it better for them.
But, if you advise you are going to corporate. Now he has a voice and something to say. What a joke. He wanted to make sure I knew that I didn't need to go to corporate because they would just be calling him. He almost threw the paper with my name and number away right there. I watched him catch himself and pull the paper back to his person. * fyi.. it's been over 24 hours and Eli failed to get back to me after asking if I wanted a callback.
Make this EPIC FAIL #5. It's a Shame. Walmart has the right plan. Walmart has the customer base. Given the right leadership and team for the job, they could be amazing.
I'll be waiting for Corporate to get back to me.
In the meantime, PLEASE HEED the Warning. SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS AND PROBLEMS! Reroute to a different Walmart. YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN 2050 REDLANDS BLVD,...
Read moreI wanted to buy one single solitary bottle of wine and I went to do the self checkout, my friend and I were shopping together and of course they have things locked up because of all the horrible little criminals that are getting away with murder and everything else, but all it does is mess with the good people who actually want to pay for their products they're buying. I went to get into self-checkout, and I was told by a Walmart associate that I could not buy my wine in self checkout because there were children around.... What??? I honestly don't know what the heck she was talking about because there's children all over the store watching their parents buy alcohol and what difference does it matter what line I'm in she made me go out of the self-checkout area and go around and wait in a big long line where there were major issues going on and there were children all over the place, so for starters I think Walmart needs to let people know the rules of shopping at Walmart, second of all what the heck do children being around have to do with an adult buying one bottle of wine when there's children all over the store and their parents are buying bottles of wine? What did it matter whether I could buy it through a self checkout or a regular cashier line it makes no difference whatsoever... it was very annoying the entire situation along with the fact that everything has to be put in little plastic strong boxes because of all the criminal behavior and it is annoying and taking a toll on real people with real jobs who actually want to pay for their items they...
