On my second visit I ordered Asada Fries, which in reality should just be called ground beef fries. The beef looked like grounded beef that was boiled or grilled, it had no taste and it was lacking. I paid $10 for a plate full of fries, beans, and pico de gallo. If you are going to sell me anything Asada, I want to see the asada steak not grounded beef. Typical with places like this they hopped the beef broil it and just grilled it to give it that asado flavor. If i had gotten something that looked like the asada plate picture in their menu, i would had been happy but instead it the moment I saw it, i knew i had been deceived. Even Albertos attempts at Asada fries are better, but if anyone wants to taste real steak asado fries go to Los Altos.
Staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is made fresh and is tasty. Usually people say: "you get what you pay for" but lately restaurants don't even give you that. They think as long as they serve you something, it doesn't matter if its good. They are not willing to go beyond standard. But this place does. Bought a tasty cheeseburger combo for less than $10. The fries were nice not overdone with cajun seasoning. The buns didnt break and the patty was tasty. Overall it was a good lunch. Will def come back to try other sandwiches...
Read moreUse to be a good place, their new employees look like they don't want to be there. They will ignore you at the counter waiting for 15 minutes just to get extra salsa as they walk past you over and over like your not there. Rude. They hardly speak English. One TV on the wall for the guests was on the Spanish channel so if your facing that way, you have no clue what the TV is saying. When the owners are not present, they have Spanish music blasting out of the kitchen overtaking the music in the restaurant. Seems weird that if a Spanish speaking customer comes in, then suddenly they get good service. 2 Tier customer service I noticed.
Also, brought my mom here for her birthday, she's elderly. We were excited and I told the lady at the counter it was her birthday, she looked at me with a rude look like who cares. We sit down and my mom ordered a big salad which comes with 1 small ranch cup. My mom asked for more ranch, and they not only charged her extra for each ranch cup, (.50 cents each, she got 4 more) but made her get up from celebrating her birthday to go pay for it at the counter. I was insulted seeing my elderly mom treated this way on her birthday. Some advice: FIRE YOUR...
Read moreMy children LOVE this spot, and to their credit they make deliciously fluffy pancakes (maybe from a mix? Maybe not?).
We've been here multiple times, and will certainly return. As mentioned the pancakes are made fresh to order and are quite fluffy. One of my children loves adding 'chocolate sauce' to them, as they don't offer 'chocolate chip pancakes' (although I'd recommend they get a bag of chocolate chips and I'm certain other children would love choc. chip pancakes as well).
Another child really loves the waffle they serve. The last time we went they didn't use quite enough batter so there were a lot of 'airy/crunchy' spots, but otherwise, the waffle was also
In the past we've also tried their fries, chicken tenders, veggie burrito, chili-cheese fries, a chicken wrap, and more. Everything is generally tasty, and their portions tend to lean generous.
Their fries are especially tasty.
I do wish that some of these spots didn't seemingly 'nickle and dime' for every little extra condiment (chocolate sauce, ranch, etc.), but otherwise, this place is definitely a regular for our family as a quick option that the kids...
