I heard about this place a couple weeks ago but it wasn't until recently that I decided to give it a try with a friend. I heard that the quality was very good and that they hand make their boba, which is pretty impressive.
I almost missed where the store was located in the plaza, my friend located their small sign out front. The boba shop interior is pretty small, it had a few stools against the wall. Luckily we came at the perfect time, there was a small line forming behind us. Only a handful of people came in after us, like 3, and the line was pretty much to the door. Despite the small space, I loved the vintage decorations. It gave a cool vibe. Also their stamp card is the CUTEST thing. As a reader, I loved how their stamp card resembled those check in/check out logs within books. It was so creative, I just had to rave about it because of how cute it was.
My friend got the iced matcha latte and I asked the cashier what their most popular drink was, which is the Hojicha sea cream. The sea cream was described to be like a cheese or salted foam on top. I decided to give it a try at 50% sugar with the boba pearls and wow, I was just blown away. The hoji tea flavor was flavorful and combined so well with the sea cream. Boba consistency was chewy and tasted good. Service was fast. I don't even think I asked for less ice, which I usually do everywhere else, and the ice level was just where I like it.
This place deserves all the stars and business. I can't wait to come back when I'm...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were passing through the area on our way to Palm Springs. My daughter was very excited to try this new tea shop that didnāt exist while she lived in the area for 4 years. The reviews looked great however the drinks did not stand out at all.
Parking: plentiful and easy and free in lot
Menu: really difficult to decide since no prices are listed and no descriptions of items. Is it a latte with milk? Is there creamer added? Is it the foam only? If this just tea? They really need to add more descriptions and prices of drinks and upsize and boba.
What we ordered: Hojicha + sea cream large 24oz with boba ($6): flavors were very weak and watered down. Could not taste strong hojicha flavors that we were expecting. The sea cream did not add much. Boba they donāt put very much. Boba was soft and flavorless. We regretted adding the boba because it really ruined the drink to have something so bland.
Hojicha + black sesame large 24oz with boba ($6.50): could not taste hojicha or the black sesame flavor. Boba they donāt put very much. Boba was soft and flavorless. We regretted adding the boba because it really ruined the drink to have something so bland.
Matcha latte large 16oz ($6): it was just okay.
The drinks were all very pretty and service was very friendly but what a disappointment! We wish we didnāt come here and went somewhere...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came here with my family and verbally asked for the salted cream thai tea WITH boba, "could I please get the salted cream thai tea with boba and light ice" and my dad even repeated it to the worker. I received my drink with no boba and walked back in with my unopened drink and overheard the cashier telling another customer they were out of boba. I waited my turn and asked just to reconfirm that they were out of boba. Before I could say that I didn't receive boba in my drink when I asked for it the worker said "I didn't charge your family for boba. Your entire family didn't get boba." It was said with an attitude too, I didn't even bother arguing back but instead said okay and walked away because they had no boba anyway. I wouldn have paid for boba too if YOU hadn't made the mistake of not hearing me and my dad say we wanted the drink with boba. It was such a weird interaction, unfriendly, and felt very condescending. Employees need to learn mannerisms, if he wore a name tag I would write that down in...
