The Redlands Luna Grill is still, for now at least, one of my favorite restaurants and a friend and I go often for lunch. Unfortunately, the past couple of visits have been disappointing and not up to their usual standards. We went a couple of weeks ago and ordered our usual salmon signature plates. My friend's order came out in good time. But mine wasn't ready for at least another 10-12 minutes. I asked and was told several times that it was "coming right out", but my friend was almost finished with her lunch before mine came. I think my order was overlooked until I reminded them that they hadn't brought it....and they weren't even particularly busy. Then yesterday when we went for lunch at a few minutes before noon, we were told that there was no salmon "until lunchtime" (this was at about 11:50 a.m.) because the salmon was still frozen and it would be another hour before it was ready. We went elsewhere for lunch. I don't know whether management has changed at the Redlands location or what. We hope to be able to continue going because we do like their food.
We often have lunch at the Luna Grill in Redlands and enjoy the food very much! The past couple of times there has been a new server, a gentleman who is very helpful and efficient. Today we ordered the peach burrata salad with our salmon signature plates. He came to our table to apologize because the wait was a little longer than usual (which we didn't mind). He said they were out of something for the salad---I'm afraid I didn't really get exactly what----but he put together a delicious salad anyway. We enjoyed our lunch and we thought the salad was just as delicious as the regular peach burrata salad! It was a very pleasant experience.
Edited: We had lunch at the Luna Grill yesterday (May 30) and everything was...

Luna Grill offers fresh, simple "Mediterranean" food. There are no table waiters. You order your food, take a number to table and someone will serve the food to you. Each selection is prepared fresh to order so there is a bit of a wait. With most meals weighing in between 200 and 600 calories, Luna Grill is a smart choice for those watching their diet.
Get a tiny taste of several menu items from their Sampler Platter like the falafel, stuffed grape leaves, couscous medley and hummus.
Luna also has a tasty selection of signature plates like the Chicken kabob or Chicken and Ground Sirloin Kabob. The meat was juicy, chicken was tender and the rice definitely fluffy. Each plate includes their house salad, basmati rice, pita bread, cucumber yogurt dip and choice of sliced carrot or roasted tomatoes which is really good.
My all time favorite here is their Beyond Burger with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and spicy feta. The spicy feta is what compliments this burger. I ordered the spicy feta on the side since it was my first time and now I can't imagine my burger without it.
Luna Grill's ambiance is pleasant with friendly customer service. The restaurant includes a handsome patio and showcases what they call "Luna 3.0," a blend of modern and vintage elements meant to invoke a comfortable feel for the family.
Overall, the freshness is the real plus, and it's healthier fare than most fast food restaurants. As long as your expectations are reasonable for casual dining, this place won't disappoint. It's also a good place to catch light quick eats that don't make you feel like you...

That’s why I want to give a huge shoutout to Yami, the cashier at Luna Grill in Redlands, CA, for her impeccable customer service. Every time I walk in, she greets me with a vibrant smile and a warm welcome—but what really stands out is her attentiveness. She remembers customers’ names, including mine! I was genuinely impressed when she greeted me by name (“Hey, Renee!”) during a recent lunch visit.
Yami’s positive energy brightens the whole room. If you’re unsure what to order, she offers fantastic suggestions. I usually get the chicken kabob plate, but one day, I wanted to switch it up. She recommended the Santorini Bowl, and now I’m obsessed! The flavors are incredible: juicy chicken, couscous, Greek olives, hummus, kale-cabbage medley, pickled onions, rice, schug, and that dreamy tzatziki sauce.
Another plus? The wait time is never too long, and the vibe is always relaxed—no rushing or stress. Even when Yami isn’t on shift, the rest of the staff works seamlessly as a team, keeping the same great energy alive.
Thank you, Yami, for making every visit feel special!
