I seriously don’t know how this place got so many positive reviews. I barely leave any bad reviews because I have yet to come across a place that disappointed me. I’m sorry to say that this was the place that did just that.
I came in with high expectations due to all the glowing reviews of this place. We were greeted at the door and handed menus and had the freedom to choose any table. The service was alright. Nothing memorable or like there was an effort someone made to go out of their way to provide exceptional service.
We ordered a chicken kore-age which was described as a honey glazed with Korean gojujang sauce. The first disappointment was how this appetizer came about 10 mins after our ramen was served. We’ve already started digging into our ramen before we had time to enjoy the appetizer. The second disappointment was the size of this appetizer! Shrinkflation at its finest!! $11?! No way like 6 tiny chunks of meat cost that much. I should have bought a whole rotisserie chicken from Costco instead. Lol. And the flavor just felt like someone attempted to fry it and drizzled on honey and gojujang sauce on it and called it a day. It felt like eating your leftovers after you microwave it. Go see my other reviews of ramen places to see how their chicken karaage looks in comparison to this for a cheaper price. I even had to ask the server if this was the actual appetizer or a side dish. This was so embarrassing to look at and not appetizing at all.
The Ramen: I got the basic Vegan ramen. The broth was good and better than the broth my husband got but nothing too amazing. It just felt like someone sprinkled a lot of chili pepper in my broth. I wish the egg, spinach and mushrooms could have already been part of the basic ramen dish instead of individually paying for each item. The tofu was literally four very slim slices. I should have just made my own ramen at home.
The menu is structured differently from what you see online. You have to pay for each individual topping which seems like a scam for a tiny amount that they put.
My husband got their signature “Redlight special” (not pictured). I saw the list of items describing this dish and thought that it would have been some special ramen to cost $26 for a regular sized bowl. My husband was not thrilled with the taste of the broth. It lacked depth of flavor and tasted more heavily spiced with chili powder. I did not see anything special about it to justify the price. I think we would have been better off buying instant ramen and it would have had more flavor.
Save your money and eat elsewhere. So disappointing and will not recommend...
Read moreFrom the moment I stepped into the cozy ramen shop, I knew I was in for something special—but I had no idea just how memorable the experience would be until I met Jaedyn.
Jaedyn isn’t just a server—he’s the heart and soul of the ramen experience. With a warm smile and a calm, confident presence, he greeted every customer like a regular, making the space feel more like a friend’s kitchen than a restaurant. But what truly sets Jaedyn apart is his role behind the counter: he’s the artist who assembles each ramen bowl with precision, care, and a clear passion for his craft.
Watching him work is like watching a symphony conductor. Every ingredient is placed with intention—from the perfectly marinated egg to the delicate swirl of noodles, the vibrant greens, and the rich, aromatic broth. He doesn’t just make ramen; he builds it, layering flavor and texture into a masterpiece that’s as beautiful to look at as it is to eat.
And the taste? Absolutely phenomenal. The broth was deep and savory, the noodles springy and fresh, and every topping harmonized perfectly. You could taste the attention to detail in every bite.
Jaedyn’s service elevated the entire experience. He checked in with genuine interest, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made sure every guest felt seen and appreciated. It’s rare to find someone who brings both technical skill and heartfelt hospitality to the table—but Jaedyn does it effortlessly.
If you’re looking for more than just a meal—if you want to feel cared for, impressed, and completely satisfied—make sure you visit this ramen spot and let Jaedyn take care of you. You’ll leave with a full belly and...
Read moreWas out on a date and we tried out Ramen Redland recently. Overall, it was fine. Decent enough that we might come back at some point, but nothing we would go out of our way for.
The space itself is solid. There’s plenty of seating both inside and outside, including bar seating. The vibe was good, casual, and relaxed.
Service was okay but not very welcoming. We were handed menus at the door and told to sit wherever, which was fine, but no one checked on us until the server came to take our order. When we asked for a few more minutes, they just said “okay, I’ll be back” and left. No offer for water or anything while we looked over the menu. We ended up asking for drinks after we were placed our food order, which felt like something they should’ve offered earlier.
Food wise, it was a bit of a mixed bag. We both ordered ramen with tonkotsu broth, yellow noodles, and pork. The broth was definitely the best part…. rich, flavorful, with a nice spice kick (“just right” spice level). The noodles were thicker than usual and didn’t really soak up the broth, which made them feel separate from the rest of the bowl. The pork had a nice char but was too thick and tough to eat in one bite with the noodles and everything else which made it hard to get that perfect mix of flavors.
Also kind of a letdown that the soft boiled egg wasn’t included and had to be added for an extra charge. That should really just be standard in a ramen bowl.
Overall, I’d give the ramen bowl a 6 out of 10. Not bad, but not great. There are better ramen spots in the area, but if you’re nearby and in the mood for ramen, it’s not the...
