I'm giving this place 4 stars because it is a great breakfast place for Redmond. The breakfast food is decent, not superb; but that is judging it in comparison to places like Victoria Cafe in Bend which might not be fair. It has a great atmosphere and is bustling on weekends. Staff can be a bit scatter brained. I was there on a busy Sunday morning and we ordered coffee. The waiter forgot to bring the coffee altogether and then we had to remind once the meal arrived. We asked for cream and he forgot that. We had to ask another staff member for the cream. Folks at the table next to us didn't get their menus for about 15 minutes, and were just sitting there. The "seat yourself" policy might be the problem and these guys would probably benefit from a hostess/host who could keep things organized. So service was spotty. Might have been a busy day or a bad day. Overall, I am impressed with the quality of the establishment and what they are trying to do; they bring a classy option out to Redmond. They do need to fix some organizational issues that hinder functionality. Thanks for being out in Redmond One Street. We can only hope for more places like this...
Read moreNew improved menu & new great cooks that know how to make a real French Omelette! They have fresh baked pasties & breads including 2 gluten free varieties most of the time. Shawna is my favorite server, very friendly, always remembers me & always asks about my kids.
The only downside to this homey inviting place is that the inside can get a bit cramped which can make for a loud dining experience. Additionally when it's busy, the servers can't get around each other well behind the counter so that slows service a bit when it gets busy (which it often does).
I will go back for sure, yet one needs to have time there for a leisurely dining experience. I think it would be a good idea for the owners to possibly remove a few tables and creates an inviting outdoor waiting area with heaters. Alternatively, it might be nice to offer year-round outdoor seating with propane heaters in the winter or a fire-pit and maybe blankets for guests to put on their laps? An enclosed patio might be a good option with propane heaters.
As I said, I will definitely go back but when I have time to savor...
Read moreThis place is great when they hit the mark. Unfortunately, it is also hit or miss. Today for instance I got the B&G and the first time they came out they were not cooked biscuits. I said something and they "remade them" however, I dont think they remade them using a heat source. (They were cold) I chose not to have them "fix" the problem a second time since they couldn't fix it the first time. Also, my wife ordered avocado toast with sourdough, and it came with wheat toast. The problem with this isn't just an issue with the kitchen, its also a issue with the server bringing it to the table before making sure it was correct. With all that being written...i have had many good experiences at this place but I have also had a few bad ones. I work hard for my money and I don't think we will be returning in the future. If you are the owner, I recomend you pay closer attention to detail. If your business is the food business, you should try harder to get it right. The standard should...
