This is not a dig on this KFC. I absolutely think KFC serves up arguably the best tasting chicken period! That said you have to follow some guidelines I've made for myself. I will only go in these parameters. •Just after opening •Late to mid rush hour •Directly after the big lunch, dinner rush. Well that's just if you want fresh cooked chicken! (FRESH CHICKEN!) If you try to beat the rush just before lunch or dinner you are getting the chicken that spends too much time under the hot box lights drying out! But that said the actual reason I'm piping in here is their amazing mashed potatoes and gravy!.... Oh excuse me. I mean when they put enough chicken gravy on that you can taste it. Not just chicken gravy sented potatoes! I spill more gravy off my dinner plate than they put on their potatoe servings. I've been known to keep a can of chicken gravy in the cupboard just for such an emergency! This last individual mash I got I was able to get maybe 2 fork scoops that had enough gravy on to make enjoyable. The rest made it's way to the trash with the chicken bones! I was really looking forward to the mashed and gravy nearly as much as the 11 herbs and spices! Of course I have no absolute guarantee here. I have followed my guidelines and still gotten dry chicken, but your odds are much better!.... I'll...
Read moreThe chicken is fresh not frozen so it takes longer to prepare. Even though they keep it made up ahead of time they do run out, occasionally. If people who have large orders Would call ahead of time even if it is only 15 minutes before they go, especially those who have had problems. Someone ordered 30 chicken littles one time, the little sandwiches but didn't call ahead. Which makes everyone else in the drive thru have to wait. I fill out the survey coupon and get a free go cup with purchase of a drink every time I go. I complained when I had to wait 45 minutes in line. They gave me a free meal each time and changed the manager and crew. The tables need to be wiped off ask them for a wet towel, they will clean it immediately. It is hard to keep employees in this area. The new manager. He's been here since the end of last year is doing a better job since he took over. I eat inside now. The most I have had to wait is 5 minutes and Zack usually brings the food to my table. Fill out the survey if you have any problems, it is worth the $3.50 plus tax you save by getting a FREE GO CUP. Each and every survey gets read by corporate headquarters and by the managers of the restaurant. I recommend coming here. They are pretty good about making things right, if have a problem fill out the survey. The tenders...
Read moreThe drive-thru lady was rushing me through my order. I didn't know what I wanted, but there was no car behind me. I just needed a minute to read the displayed menu, as I am not familiar with it. I ordered 3 tenders. She told me "$8.23 at the window." $8.23 for 3 tenders. Not for a meal, just the tenders. I had her repeat it at the window, and she said it was the price for 3 tenders. I thought KFC had become quite pricey. I paid cash, I gave her $8, and while I was rummaging through my wallet for a quarter, she disappeared. Her colleague arrived, he handed me a plastic bag and I gave him the quarter. She was nowhere to be seen, so he waved for me to go, saying we were good. In the plastic bag, there were the box of 3 tenders, 4 sauces--including 3 that I didn't ask for (and a spoon ?!)-- but no receipt. I was on the go and ate the tenders; they were good enough. Once I had time, I checked online, and apparently, I should have been charged $3.99 for 3 tenders, which makes more sense. It was clearly not a mistake as I had her repeat it, and she confirmed the order and the price. So obviously, I...
