MAYA NIGHTCLUB — Restaurant in Redwood City

I came for a concert and had a good time. I read reviews before I went so I didnt arrive until 11:30pm and concert started at midnight. There's no parking but I came in an Uber so was fine for me. There did appear to be one line for all, after standing there for 5 min I learned if I was able to bypass the line if I already had tickets. I had purchased a VIP ticket so I went as close to the stage as possible and stayed there til showtime. You must get VIP to be in the same room as the artist. That extra $10-$15 for VIP is worth it. When artist arrived it got cramped pretty quickly. It does get super hot so be prepared to sweat. I didnt buy any drinks or use their bathroom. I want to begin saying this is NOT a recommended place to attend a concert, at least if you want to enjoy it without being tired for waiting 2.5 hours standing, if you like to drink a lot and listen to loud horrible music while waiting, this is your place. The singer which in this case it was Alex Ubago performed really really great, the wait denifitely was worth it, but the place is just bad, first they don’t have good logistics as they make just one line for the entrance even if you buy VIP which it sucks, and then…. Which is why I am giving them 1 star they state event begins at 9, the event begins at damn 11:30, I think is a scam so you spend money on drinks while waiting, horrible place, never coming. This...

You'd think that this place would have proper VIP lines for entry when they host internationally acclaimed artists at concert prices.

I wasn't the only VIP ticket holder to be sent to the back of the Very long queue.

Security was wrong about the time the show would begin

The dance floor was fully lit up, around an hour before actual closing time

Drinks were good, but you can't just leave your card.

The bar near the door is quicker than the one near the dance floor

Security Staff was more competent the older they seemed. People are difficult and I saw the older and taller ones handle things properly. The younger ones just felt and sounded like lord of the flies...
