The waitperson Katie was spectacular! She took the time to explain the extensive menu with all the options. She was prompt, attentive and accurate. The clam chowder was the best I've ever had,, maybe even better than she promised, and the Turkey Sandwich was great. This new management team has the winning combination for this riverfront restaurant location. It's the perfect location right at the boat launch, so get there early and chow down before, OR, stop there for eats after a rewarding day of fishing on the Umpqua or Smith River. The food was delicious. The staff worked with me on my allergy issues. The reason for only 4 stars is it was SO darn cold in there. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars. My friend got a calzone and it looked so delicious and she said it was good. I just wish I would have known what was in the dough that's what I would have liked to have had. But like I said I have allergies and they had no way of knowing what was in it. The first time we went to this place the food and service was pretty good today the service was mediocre at best. The bartender was our first server on our second visit cuz the waitress was not there and you could tell the bartender didn't want to be serving food by her attitude. The actual waitress was not very attentive she would disappear for 5 to 10 minute increments but was atleast nice.
