Beck's Brew House — Restaurant in Reno

I'm not sure if Sierra Tap House is a Sierra Nevada beer franchise or it just happens to serve a lot of Sierra Nevada beer, but this place doesn't serve Beck's beer. It has a good eclectic array of beers. It's not a brewery in that it does not make its own beer. It's a nice, clean, new joint with a bar and then an attached lower level that has tables and a couch. It's a good sized place, but with all the TV's going with sports on, it felt like a run of the mill sports bar like Bully's or Sparky's. Passport said it caters to young professionals. You mean yuppies? I don't think so numb nuts. It's more a working class young crowd and college kids. Also, yet another bar that has way too much lights going on. Good neighborhood bar if you're in the area. Bartenders aren't that friendly, like in most sports bars, but I guess they just expect you to entertain yourself with all the sports on the TV's. Beck's Brew House specializes in craft beer. The manager really knows his stuff when it comes to "good craft beer". He seems to rotate the tap handles regularly so there is always something new to try. The bartenders are all nice and friendly. The feel is a close nit neighborhood pub with good music, drink and friends. People here are nice and welcoming. They also offer top notch hard cider which I consider a +++.

note: Beck's does not brew their own beer nor do they serve Becks beer (to my knowledge). Also as of this date this is a smoking bar, but does have fancy smoking...

Great ”locals" bar. Friendly dogs allowed. Everyone is very laid back. Have a tremendous selection of beer. From local to overseas. Their liquor selection(mostly whiskey) is a little to be desired, but the bartenders(who are extremely friendly) can make you anything you'd like. Seating is wide spread. Multi level. Booths. Pool Tables. High tops. 8 bar seating...
