This place has really disappointed me. :( My family and I LOVE coming here. It’s our go-to spot for lunch. The food never disappoints and the servers we’ve had have all been very nice. Although sometimes we like to order order our food to go and always seem to be treated like absolute trash every-time we do. Today was one of those instances! Today was my husbands first day off of work in 13 days. We were so excited to go have lunch at bighorn and catch his football game. I’m currently in my first trimester of pregnancy and have been struggling with a migraine for the last two days so we unfortunately had to settle for ordering our food to go and watching the game at home instead. When he called to order, the employee who picked up rudely stated they’re too busy and hung up on him. So, he drove to the restaurant (lakeside) and planned to have a beer at the bar and order our food there instead. A woman who claimed to be the manager was again incredibly rude and tried to refuse him. He told her he was happy to wait at the bar watching the game for as long as it might take and she laughed at him and walked away. My husband is the sweetest, most kind and respectful man. I understand having busy, stressful days. Although I don’t think it’s ever ok to treat paying customers who’ve been supporting the business for years the way my husband was treated today. I’m genuinely afraid that our food might have been tampered with by this ill-mannered employee. I really don’t think it’s the best move to have someone in a position of leadership when they aren’t able to remain polite and professional on stressful days. Big bummer. We sadly don’t feel the same about this place after our experience today. If you love this place i recommend never ordering any food to go because it quite possibly could ruin...

This review is for the new lakeside location:

We arrived just after 5–party of 3, 2 adults and 1 toddler. Our server came over after 10 minutes to ask for our drink order. We had not been given menus yet. She said she’d be back with menus. 10 minutes later she came back to get our dinner orders, still no menus. Someone else came up with menus and our drinks. Finally at 5:30 we were able to place our order. She said the kitchen was closed and would reopen in 10 min but it would be about 30 minutes until we get our food. I appreciated the heads up. At 6:15 she showed up (has not come over once in the last 45 min to check on us or ask if we’d like another drink). She says they still have not reopened the kitchen yet and our order hasn’t even been placed. At this point we are getting hangry, we have a 2 year old that is losing patience and we have to pick someone up at the airport in 45 min, so we cancel our order and are ready to leave. The apology we get is “sorry, we’re still working out the kinks. I’ll bring your check for the drinks.” So we had to wait 15 more minutes to be brought a check for the 1 beer my husband drank. The least they could do was offer to comp our drink. (Btw, every table around us had food. Even people who arrived after us, but were given menus right away.)

So long story short we waited and hour and a half and did not get any food. With a toddler. Maybe the other location had their act together. Maybe the food is good. I don’t know. But I’d wait on going to the lakeside location for awhile until their kitchen figures out timing and their waitstaff learns better...

This is me and my fiancé's favorite spot to go! We have been in Reno for about 3 months and just discovered this gem 5 weeks ago. Since then, we have been multiple times. Why you may ask? Well first off, the server, Max is incredible! He is so personable, quick, attentive, kind, genuine, and full of humor. Every time we walk into this location, we always smile and wave at him. He is one of the best servers that we have had anywhere.

Not only is the service good, but the food is to die for. Yes, it is normal bar food, but the quality is above all else. They also have a HUGE range of selections so everyone is bound to be happy. From delicious apps such as wings, spinach and artichoke dip, to hummus to yummy salads, sandwiches, burgers, mac and cheese, nachos, etc. Every time you go here you will find something new! Oh, and don't forget the chili. This is our favorite menu option and ordered often.

So far, so good right? The service is impeccable, great food, what else more could there be? Well, the prices are incredible. They have a HH, 3 appetizers for $15 dollars, +/- $4 beers, and everything else on the menu ranges from $10-18. This place is definitely affordable for some scrumptious grub.

Anyways, you have to check it out yourself. Do not let the full parking lots or the outside deter you. It is worth it! I hope you enjoy your meal just...

Bighorn should be on your list to visit. I'm so glad my friend brought me there. The place is fun, lively, with friendly and attentive waitstaff. I asked for a fruity beverage with pineapple and coconut, and they came out with a delicious pretty drink that I wished I took a photo to show you. I had the quinoa salad, which was a delightful surprise with tasty tiny cubes of sweet potato. I did not add the protein options because I ordered the pork street tacos. It was so tasty I'd order it again. I enjoyed my dining experience so much I tried them for breakfast the next day and had the Bighorn with bacon (sausage is available) and an English muffin. Overall the food is delicious, the service is great, and the price is very reasonable. It's not the typical place I'd go so I'm glad I had someone to hip me on to this place.

I ordered onions and a pulled pork sandwich which came with fries. The onion rings were beer battered. However, the batter was like a cake donut. The fries advertised as fresh cut were fried once, not twice. When frying fresh cut potatoes they need to be fried once to cook the potatoes and a second time to crisp them. These fries were sad and were served with a sizable chunk of burnt onion ring batter. The pulled pork tasted great, though the bun was so soft to the touch, I couldn't hold it without dough sticking to my fingers. Throughout my experience, my waiter was overwhelmed and never gave me a set-up (fork & knife). Bighorn won't get a second chance.

Great food, lots of TVs for sports, and friendly service. I don't often see scotch egg on a menu, and it was decent although not the traditional preparation of fried whole with a soft yolk, but rather cut in half prior to frying. The burgers were really good - sizable patty with nice beef flavor, and plenty of fresh toppings. Fries are good, nice and crispy, and the vinaigrette on my salad was quite tasty. I can see why this is a popular locals spot, and it's a great choice to grab some grub while watching a game.
