Bouchée Confections — Restaurant in Reno

I came to Bouchėe confections on June 19th. A friend and I wanted to try out a local place in Reno that sold desserts and coffee. A quick Yelp search popped up this place and we were excited to check it out because the photos online look beautiful.

I will say that the pictures did live up to their aesthetic beauty. Unfortunately because they were so good I forgot to take my own pictures.

I purchased the strawberry pistachio cake and a cafe au lait.

The coffee itself was impeccable when it came to the flavors that came through from the coffee beans. It was ground fresh, brewed, and then the organic milk used was superb. It was one of the smoothest coffees I've had in a very long time.

Also the strawberry pistachio cake was so soft, light, and airy. You could taste every distinct flavor of the cake itself and it was so scrumptious.

Because I didn't want to leave without taking a little something home, I ended up buying the variety box of gourmet chocolates. I got help deciding which ones to take via the individual behind the counter. The chocolates were just as delicious as the cake and coffee.

Walked in to check out the new spot... offered to try a couple of chocolates...I'd say an 8 out of 10.... cakes (minus tiramisu) looked good, chose a strawberry pistachio and a put if tea, cakes are PRICEY at $10.50 but when went to 0ay for a cake and tea and was told it would be ..... $30????? Out of shock I asked...how? Cake os 10.50 but how much is tea?.... $17!!!!! This all price gagging in reno is getting old! We spend half our time between Pacific Grove and Beverly Hills....sorry, NEVER was charged $17 for a tea pot ...not ANYWHERE in BH...and actually not even at Shangri-la or the Ritz tea time in London! We 86d the tea and kept the cake, cake was a 7 out of 10 on the taste scale...just..."ok"....service...the lady behind the counter was LOVELY! so... prices... RIDICULOUS, products....OK.......

This place has the most sublime desserts! I took my Mother and daughter here for a sunday morning treat and we were not disappointed. They serve hand crafted desserts, espresso coffees, tea and chocolates. I ordered a mocha coffee and it was made with real chocolate from their melted chocolate reservoir. It was the most decadent drink I have ever had. We ordered 3 desserts to share. They are very rich and delicious. We had the strawberry pistachio cake, the chocolate raspberry cake and the triple chocolate cake. My favorite was the Strawberry Pistachio, but honestly they were all amazing.
