Carnitas y Tortas Ahogadas Guadalajara 3 — Restaurant in Reno

Simply amazing food, delicious tasted, great service a must try if you like are a fan of unique items they offer. Their champurrado ? The flavor and consistency is better than most. Their tortas ahogada? Was delicious and perfection as I had imagined and bit more. I originally tried them elsewhere but was not a fan, but that instance it was just lacking I knew it couldn't be such popular dish and be so lacking in flavor, I'm glad I I tried them here. The ahogada has the perfect bread, crunchy so it doesn't get soggy but definitely want the sauce without it not quite a ahogada which stands for smothered. The sauce was well balanced quite flavorful and the sauce provided to add spiciness was perfect. I had to go back to try their birria and ordered chico which came with 6 hand made tortillas. For a restaurant it was the best I've had, it was tender not gammy at all and fell apart, it had no smell or quite subtle which is a must and why most forwnbupon because others don't prepare properly.

The habanero sauce was perfection also for this while they offer a out 4 salsas for your preference.

The chia water? Very unique, very delicious and can't give enough props to the staff and cooks. Keep it up!

Definately recommend to anyone in town or coming to Reno to stop by. I definitely need to try their birrea beef...

This is a GREAT place if you want to eat GDL (Guadalajara) style, IYKYK! Tortas Ahogadas was on point, I had the carnitas, it was great. My family also ordered tacos dorados and that was no disappointment, we also ordered Nachos fries, the taste was good but the fries weren't cooked to a crisp but the flavor of the Carne Asada was great. If you ordered them I would suggest to ask for them to be fry more crispier if you like them like that. He also ordered a side of Guacamole, it had a good fresh taste but, it was a bit salty, otherwise it was good. My son ordered tacos de birria de res, he said the taste was good but they didn't add to much meat on them, so he said, that other than that the consume was good. Their Agua de Chia with Pepino was wonderful, very refreshing, recommended. When we were leaving we say a sign that said that they had: Atole de Guayaba", I am a Guava lover so we bought 2. Last night my wife wanted to have birria for dinner, so we decided to visit this place that we had visited before and liked. Unfortunately this time it wasn't like that, the place is clean and nice, the service was very friendly but the food fell far short of expectations, my wife ordered a beef birria and I ordered a goat birria, everything looked great until we tried the food, my birria was supposed to be goat but it was actually beef, we told the waiter and he said there was no mistake that my birria was goat, I didn't want to complain anymore, I can tell the difference between beef and goat but I just wanted to have dinner and get out of there, my wife said this was too salty and decided to ask the waiter to change her dish, we couldn't have a good dinner, it was a bad experience regarding the food that was oversalted and a "goat" that tasted like beef, I don't know if I would visit the place again since it is a clean place with a nice atmosphere but the birria is definitely a big...
