Chewy & Jug's — Restaurant in Reno

It appeared the employee had little or no restaurant experience, didn't know what was still available on the menu, nor where napkins might be, and was preoccupied with watching sports. The french dip was a joke of a sandwich, consisting of two last end pieces of a loaf of bread, (bottom mostly a crust piece, sorry on a Monday your bread stock should be full, and you toss the ends, not use them to keep from opening a new loaf) with a small, not even close to generous as stated on the menu, amount of overcooked beef, picture bread on a third of each side, with beef in the center third, sandwich. I guess it was lucky I had au jus, that was a good flavor. I will say the fries were good. Really no surprise this place was almost empty on the night of a major sporting event on TV. Eat there if you're drunk or gonna get drunk and don't care about the food, not if you want a meal.Maybe lunch has a full cook staff. I would recommend a much smaller late menu and do those things right, but I won't be back to see if anything else is any better.Lesson learned...

My friend and I were looking for a good place to get out, have a beer or two, and just shoot some pool. Came across this place by reference from a friend (Brian). So we went and checked it out and it was well worth it. The burgers are really great. We're talking large, and very generous portions of fries. The pool table was well balanced. The only "bad" thing was that the first time we went there, the pool sticks weren't maintained. But by the next time we went, 1 week later, they were back to being fully maintained. The two bartenders are very nice. And it's always great to hear someone...

I was having lunch and saw a man sitting at the bar drinking beer. He had a baby in a baby carriage which he was rocking while he drank. I don’t know if the bartender knows it or not but it’s against the law to drink or do drugs while be the sole person who is caring for a baby or child. I was so upset that he kept drinking and wondered if he drove to the establishment. I ask the bartender if it was her baby because she was young. She said no, so now I sit and wonder if I should of done more. I’m giving the atmosphere only a one star because of what I had to see while...
