Dutch Bros Coffee — Restaurant in Reno

I truly hope the managers see this review. I had a 5 star review from November 2021. I have been there several more times since my outstanding first time. As you can see I bow give them a 1 star.

The reason for the 1 star is all in the employees. Especially when I visited on February 16, 2022. The young employee came to my car to take my order. First of all the music they were playing was so loud we were unable to concentrate on what we wanted to order. Made a comment on this and was ignored. When she took out order there was 3 of us. After the 1st order the employee started talking to a friend and did not hear the order that we gave 4 times. It was only after I said she's not paying attention to us she finally stopped talking to her friend to take the complete 1st drink. Which she did not do correctly. We ordered the 2nd drink and then the 3rd. We had to explain twice what we wanted because she was to busy dancing to the loud music and once again her attention went to everything but our order. When we got to the window she was completely engrossed in conversation with her friend. The window where we paid we had to reiterate our order since the first employee got it wrong. The window employee did not hear us trying to fix our order. Music was still extremely loud. We left swearing that it will be quite a long time before we go back. It's more like a hang out for teenagers than it was a business. At least the empowers got to play their music so loud it ran away any potential customers that were over the age of 18. The coffee maybe really good but only when the orders are correct. Which...

✨ (1st Posted 7/08/2023) ✨ Been here twice now... First time — an evening a couple weeks ago — one of the crew messed up one of my orders (I stated that I wanted an iced bev, not hot), but I'm a reasonable & rational man, so I didn't make a fuss; it happens. I calmly pointed out the error, they apologized and fixed it promptly, and were friendly & cheery from start to finish. Easy-peasy. (And it was a decent iced Golden Eagle.) 😌

Went back just yesterday, a relatively hot afternoon, and on a whim I decided to give this exact Dutch Bros. location another try. There was a crowd of people — both standing & in the drive-thru, being the popular spot that it was; however, for the same cordial service, sans any error, the icy-cold Cotton Candy Frost was worth the excursion and the wait, to hell with the sun. Drank it on the spot in whatever sparse little shade I could find with my e-bike; damn good bev! A new favorite! 😄

I will definitely return sooner than later for another serving — but I'll probably get a large instead of a medium next time. 😉

💥 UPDATE: 8/04/2023 💥 — A handful of visits later and I continue to receive fast, friendly service from this location. 7/8/23 I had to update my review.The drive thru issues have hit an all time low. They have a security guard that is there to control the flow into the drive thru. We had circled the block 4 time because there was no space for us each time. After our 4th trip I saw that the line was starting to move so we started to pull in. The security wanna be cop jumps in front of us and tells us to keep going. I tried to tell him to look behind him at the moving line, but he couldn't hear me because he pulls out his bullhorn and starts yelling at us. So of course I started yelling back. He leaves to go get the DB manage so we stayed in the line for our coffee. We explained what had happened to the manager and I assumed we would just move on but our friend the security guard told the manager that he would refuse us service. The manager said that she had to do what he says. The worst part was that after he got his way he walks past us laughing at us. I guess I didn't need to spend $30 for coffee anyway. I will never return to this location untill it is torn down and moved elsewhere.
