The past three times I have come here I give them my phone number to sign up for the club where you make money and each time they tell me they can't find my name or phone number and so I have them add it again for the fourth time. Then they also say every time that they just got a new system and that next time I come in an order I'll get the 10% off which is a perpetual cycle of nothing happening every time. There was a man who had purchased a meal he had a lot of bags with him he looked to be homeless he was yelling at what seemed to be the manager or owner and at first I was like oh boy here we go again another homeless person in Reno yelling about something cuz it's so common in this town but I started to listen to what he was saying and he was mad because he didn't get his 10% off and how much the food was and he was not happy about the exact same thing I was not happy about. That was a learning lesson for me to not judge people and also realize they're screwing everybody over with their non-existent 10% off point system. Now I know for sure that they're just lying about it. For a burger and a shake it was $20. Listen I understand it's a small business and it's rough for small businesses but this is their second location and if they can't afford to keep the establishment open they should have just stopped at the one and not raise the prices to be so incredibly high then they have more customers and they'd be able to actually give people the 10% off I guarantee that they just can't afford to get people 10% off so they just lie to everybody I don't know how they pulled that off with repeat customers or maybe they just don't have very many repeat customers to this location. Very disappointed with that call discount lie and the food quality has gone down over the years I remember the taste of the burgers when I was really little all the way up till now and they are very different patties and that's unfortunate because they don't taste as good. It's unfortunate that the prices went up and the quality of the meat went down because I have loved this place so much since I was tiny. I guess nothing lasts forever except the memories of what once was an amazing place with...

After picking up my cousin Christian from the airport, I knew exactly where to take him first: Scoopers on Kietzke Lane. While not officially an 80s-style diner, the vibe transported me back to the burger joints of my childhood in Central America, especially my godmother’s iconic burger restaurant. It’s a taste of home wrapped in juicy burgers and crispy fries. 🍔✨
Walking in, I immediately felt that nostalgic pull. Dire Straits’ “Money for Nothing” played overhead, and the walls were decked out with local sports memorabilia—a love letter to Reno’s Wolfpack fans. It’s the kind of spot where families gather after football practice or teens hang out after a game. 🐺🏆
I ordered the Triple AL Burger, a towering masterpiece of three perfectly grilled patties, melty cheese, and fresh toppings. Each bite was heavenly. Christian went for the Shroom Burger, loaded with earthy mushrooms and gooey cheese—it was so good, he couldn’t even finish it. 🍄🔥 We rounded it out with golden fries and a tall, creamy shake. It was everything you’d want from a classic burger joint. 🍟🥤
If you’re craving an even bigger retro kick, the Sparks location is a must-visit. It’s a true throwback to the early diner days, especially during events like Street Vibrations, when hot rods line up at the drive-in window to pick up burgers and shakes. The vintage car vibes are unbeatable—diner nostalgia at its finest. 🚗🎶
Scoopers isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a place to relive memories and make new ones. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, it’s a must-visit for anyone seeking good food and good vibes. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Read moreI had a terrible experience over an honest mistake. I called to order food on what I thought was the Scooper's on Prater Sparks, and instead ended up ordering at the Scooper's on Kietzke (I was working at the time and didn't pay attention). Once I went to pick up what I ordered I unfortunately was told that I in fact ordered in the wrong location. After that I decided to order the exact same meal (Burger, Large Fries etc.) and paid in full.
Then I called the Scooper's in the Kietzke location and Asked if I could cancel my original order as I clearly made a mistake. Then the phone was passed to some dude with a bad attitude, And I asked if I could cancel my phone order and even explained to him that I made a mistake by calling on what I assumed was the Prater location.
He then responded with something along the lines of: "WelL fOr fUtuRe rEfeReNce, MakE sUre YoU CaLl tHe rIgHt LoCatIon, liKe tHaT We dOn'T hAve tO bE tHroWinG oUt FoOd" And then he hang up like someone's EX Girlfriend...
About 5 minutes after the phone hang up an employee at the Prater Scoopers told me that The food I just PAID for could not be made because Her boss told her they could not make my food and I would have to go to the one at Kietzke in order to pick it up...
(So not only did I waste my time waiting at the Prater's Location for my food not to be ready but rather the food I just paid for would be refused but if i wanted it, I would have to go pick it up at the other Location)
Unfortunately at that point I had no other option than to go waste another 15 Minutes driving to the Kietzke location and pick up my "Cold Food" and then another 15 minutes to get back...
I honestly don't know why in the world a simple mistake could lead to a company attempt to save a $14 Meal and have me driving around because they are afraid of throwing out food. I even went ahead to call the other location to try and correct my mistake only for them to snitch and have me waste time…
Overall the customer service was the worst i've ever seen on a fast food chain and would recommend to simply avoid a place like this to prevent that experience from happening to you…
