Egg Roll King — Restaurant in Reno

This was my first visit to this particular Egg Roll King restaurant, as I usually go to the one in Sparks Nevada. I was very happy with the friendly service and the same high-quality food that the other Egg Roll King stores provide.

All of the food is very good, but my favorite is the house special. It’s only $4.95, and while simple, it provides a good portion of hot fresh chow mein and fried rice, with a crispy eggroll and sweet-and-sour sauce.

The location is very convenient on Wells Avenue with parking on the street right in front of the store. I’ve tried many of the other menu items and I have not been disappointed by anything. This is your best go to Chinese restaurant chain that has many convenient locations. I've had Uber eats deliver meals from the Egg Roll King, which is really convenient for eating at home.

I've come here often over the last 4 years. I would say twice, maybe 3 times a month. Ordering the same thing every time. This time however, i was told i couldnt NOT get what I normally order which is a half order of broccoli beef....this is the first time I have ever seen the man that was running the register. I told him I always get the half order of broccoli beef when the girl is working the register and it's never been an issue. So after more debating and consulting the cooks he informed me he will allow my half order of broccoli beef THIS ONE TIME and that's it. Mind you, i am not even paying half price when I order this item. I only pay 2 dollars Less than the full order of broccoli beef AND I don't get the steamed rice either. So needless to say, the experience I had this evening was not a good one. I will eat here again in the future when the young lady with the excellent customer service is working the front. I went to king egg roll last night because it reminded me of my mom and dad store that went out of business couple months ago. Not because we want out of busines but because it's a small place. I believe in supporting the small mom and pop biz. Anyway it's a small restaurant but the food is authentic and very very good I really recommend them to anyone that likes Chinese food.. They cooked order very quickly. Produce and seafood very fresh taste good. The service there's nice the man at the counter was very very nice. Reminds me of my dad when he was younger with his english accent. Don't judge a book by its cover. Food is very authentic and very good. If you like them give them 5stars. It really effects small biz when you rate them 1 less star. Remember that. I'm not giving them a good rating because it reminds me of our store.
