I ordered the Poke appetizer, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The tuna had an unusual, almost earthy taste—almost like dirt—and the texture was off. Additionally, the fish had a dark red color that didn’t look quite right, which raised concerns about its freshness.
My server was okay, but she didn’t seem happy to be there. While I understand that everyone has bad days, her lack of enthusiasm made the dining experience feel unwelcoming.
The restaurant itself has very dim lighting, which made it difficult to fully see what I was eating. While some may enjoy that kind of ambiance, I personally found it too dark.
The biggest issue, however, came after the meal. About an hour after leaving, I started experiencing severe diarrhea, which lasted for the rest of the day and evening. Since I hadn’t eaten anything else since the previous night, I can only assume it was caused by the food I had here.
I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. I hope this was just an isolated incident, but based on what happened, I wouldn’t feel comfortable returning.
Update- I did get a call from the GM. He was very nice and he did refund me for the entire meal, plus he mailed me a gift certificate! I will give them another try,...

The tide has a great happy hour and we all started out with drinks ; I got the heated mule as I didn't feel like something sweet, my friend tried a couple fruity drinks, and her husband had a beer. If you like a stiff drink, then look no further! The bartender this afternoon had a heavy hand, so no complaints there.
As for food, the happy hour menu wins again. I ordered my go-to chicken tenders and nachos. My friend had the Reuben and her husband had the grilled cheese sandburger. Everything looked really good and better yet it tasted great, which is where it counts. However, the grilled cheese sandburger stole the show! It was 2 grilled cheese sammies with a burger in the middle. He said it tasted pretty good too. If you're a fry lover, then it's worth mentioning I love their fries--they're crisp on the outside with a tender not mushy potato inside. Lastly, if you order from the happy hour menu then heads up, no substitutions are allowed. Overall, lunch was fun and the ambience was perfect. When big sport games are on, it can get...
Read moreIt's not smokey anymore, because the new law passed, and they serve food. Flowing Tide up in the Northwest is more of a bar than a restaurant, while this place seems to be more of a restaurant than a bar, probably because there are more tables. But the long bar and high tables also make it good for picking up women. It is much easier to hit on women sitting at a high table than a low one. At a low table, you seem to be intruding and you're either looking down at them or you have to get into that condescending waitress crouch thing. You want to assume a noncommitted posture, standing, so if you get rejected, you can easily turn and move on. If you're crouching and get rejected, it's pretty embarrassing. There's two steps you have to make now, standing up, and then turning and walking off. The less time you leave a rejection, the better. So there you have it, tall tables: good for hitting on women, low tables: bad. But this place is so isolated, it's not a good scene unless you like hitting on married women sitting with their husbands and children. Good family place or get together...
