La Parada Cafe — Restaurant in Reno

I’ll try to make this short. We came to this restaurant with friends and family which we totally regretted. We got there and waited around 30 minutes until they came and offered us something to drink. When we got our drinks finally we ordered and waited around a hr to get our food in the process of getting our food we were never asked if we wanted another drink after finished. People that got there after us were already leaving. I noticed a couple that was not happy with their food left angry. After a couple more minutes we told them if our food was ready and one of my friends got yelled at by a worker for asking about their food and why it was taking long and there response was it wasn’t a McDonald’s (I been to better restaurants and doesn’t even take that long). After waiting more time one of my friends just walked off and I asked a employee about our food again which was already lined up for us and that’s when I told my friend to come back already angry at them. We didn’t even eat comfortable anymore. So at paying one of my friends told them to not scream at them again for just asking about their food. We were leaving peacefully and one of the workers came out and took a picture of us so I went up to him and asked why the picture. So then it was a argument and the lady shoved my pregnant wife and then denied it They wouldn’t call the cops because they know their at fault. This restaurant has to get closed down for there awful service and unprofessionalism. They got mad just because we were unhappy with their service. Don’t come to this...

Just can't recommend enough, any dish you order will be meticulously prepared and plated well, the attention to detail is amazing; their cooks do an amazing job in the cooking and seasoning never being over seasoned just enough to enhance the primary ingredients. If you think you tried delicious food you will have to reconsider after trying their dishes. When you can knock out difficult dishes out of the ball park the common ones are a no biggie .

I've had a multitude of dishes the few times I've been here and have yet to order a dish I didn't love and was not completely satisfied with. After trying their birria that's been my go to; but I love birria and it's hard to find a place that makes great tasting birria like this. I also sampled the barbacoa and it was amazing as well.

Their menu is quite extensive but even if they had a small menu it's one of those restaurants people would continue to flock Too. Sundays tend to be the busiest.

So anyways they obviously sell Great birria tacos some of the best due to the deliciousness of their birria. However when you have delicious birria that can stand on its own that's the best way to have it. Honestly many places that sell birria tacos don't make Great birria but people love more the crispiness and the cheese and it masks the lack of flavor of the birrea. I've also had the huevos Rancheros and other breakfasts, enchiladas and all are heavenly.

This is one spot you definately don't want to miss...

This place is REALLY GOOD, the kind of good that you'll remember for a long time, and talk about later.

I was visiting Reno and was craving really authentic Mexican food before I went back home. We looked up all the best places that we're close on Yelp and Google and decided to go Carlillo's Cantina based on the overwhelming reviews at such a high mark. We woke up in the morning on Sunday excited to go enjoy a 5 star restaurant, but when we hopped in the car, ready to leave, we Googled the restaurant for directions and it showed CLOSED. We were devastated, as my wife even skipped food the night before, in anticipation of getting some really good eats. SO...still craving really good Mexican food, look to Google again, and found La Parada!

La Parada was AMAZING! I ordered a Carne Asada Burrito AND a two enchilada plate, and both dishes were great, but the burrito definitely topped it all. It had a perfectly crisp homemade tortilla, and everything tasted just right. My wife said it was the best Menudo she had since being a child having her Grandmother's...and she's had a lot of Menudo since then!

Thank you La Parada for being the best thing about our weekend with your good service, and amazing food. I can't wait to come...
