Wanted to check this place out after a concert Thursday night cause we wanted to grab a bite and play some pool. Seemed like a fun place until my friend and I were immediately met with rude, condescending attitude from the bartender. My friend had forgotten her ID and we respectfully accepted that we would get no service, not even for food. However, a young man in another party also didn’t have his ID and was still given service and a prompt round of shots. The bartender knew he didn’t have his ID and I even confronted him about it. With all the due respect and admiration that Lucke's deserves: this is a super clean Reno "dive bar". I met a friend here to watch a Stanley Cup Final game on a ho-hum boring Wednesday evening and was greeted with a charmingly affable bartender. They're a bar's bar: they have a few beers on tap and a wall full of liquor. You can get drunk and mingle easily here - Lucke's has one of those high-quality internet jukeboxes, comfy barstools, and there are two pool tables - tightly spaced but still plenty of room to take your shot. As a patron who had never been there before, I stopped during the middle of the day just for a regular soda. I was so thirsty but then discovered I had left my wallet in the car :( I was greeted by a friendly lady behind the bar who wasted no time ending my thirst and offered it on the house.
