They're trying super hard to find their niche and stick around after being a near century-old iconic "club" of Reno.
I support Bobby M's karaoke as best I can with a younger mindset in terms of bringing a wide range of ideas. Other than that, I feel the demographic doesn't get much younger than the retirement set. If they added some younger spunk to their clientele, via updated drink specials and "hipster" Midtown Reno flair, there could be another 50 years with an institution that is really losing it's current culture idealism.
Besides, these associations are typically supported by centuries-old institutions such as the Freemasons and other segregative idealisms.

Read moreI think that title goes to some hooker on 4th Street. Anyhow, this is a decent bar with a side room/lounge where they have a piano act and singer thing with a small dance floor. Every time I go here, there's lots of old folks like 40-60. A couple years back, for whatever reason, it used to have the hottest young women like UNR young. But I guess that was just a fad or something, or maybe someone spread a rumor that it was a gold-digger place. Read moreOur experience was that of a mixed review. This was our first visit after several referral's. We anticipated a Kareoke night, however, it was not to take place until around 11:30 pm. There was a Burlesque Show scheduled prior to the Kareoke program. We did not attend that show and waited and had drink's in the bar. It ended up with us leaving during the Burlesque Show because the show was filtered into the bar area. It was sooo loud, we were unable to carry on a conversation...something for mgmt to consider.
