On he way to my wife’s cancer treatments we try to have a quick bite. Today we tried Wheatberry as splitting a fresh sandwich is about perfect. Ordered a classic turkey on sourdough. First of all it was on me to have not asked what was on it. Bread was super soft and with all the holes from rising it allowed all the gobs of mayo and mustard to squish through into our hands. The thick slice of tomato and inner chunks of Romain were prided in he middle and as a result the bread mushed out as she bit into the first bite and it fell apart all over the front seat. Needless to say it wasn’t pleasant. Returned it to the bakery without even requesting a refund or replacement. I was looking for a soft-baked gingerbread cookie for a surprise gift and decided to give Wheatberry a try. When I arrived to purchase the cookie, I spoke with staff about how important it was for the cookie to be soft, and they went above and beyond to ensure the gift recipient's satisfaction. They even placed the cookie in a heat sealed bag to keep the cookie soft to be devoured later that night.
