⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Parlor – Reno’s Hidden Burger Gem
Tucked away on South Virginia Street, The Parlor isn’t just another burger joint — it’s a full-on flavor destination that blends barroom charm, elevated pub fare, and Reno-style hospitality into one unforgettable experience.

🍔 The Food
Jess went classic with the Vintage Cheeseburger, stacked with a golden onion ring and crisp, salty bacon that played perfectly against the juicy, thick-cut patty. The salt from the bacon tied everything together, balancing the sweetness of the bun and the char from the grill. Her side of curly potato wedges was the perfect crispy complement.

I dove into The Parlor Burger, and it was a showstopper — a juicy, medium-cooked patty topped with tender pulled brisket, spicy-tangy BBQ sauce, and melted Pepper Jack cheese. Every bite was a flavor bomb: smoky, peppery, and perfectly balanced with crisp lettuce, tomato, and onion. The brisket added real depth — like a smokehouse meets steakhouse moment right there on the plate.

🍺 The Drinks
We paired our meals with a White Rascal beer and a Mango Pineapple cider — both crisp, clean, and complementary to the rich burgers. The Parlor crew surprised us with a beer flight, showcasing their craft selection and confidence behind the bar.

👩🍳 The Service
Our waitress Roni was the definition of world-class service. Even with a packed Friday night crowd, she never missed a beat — professional, upbeat, and genuinely kind. She checked in just enough to make sure everything was perfect, always with a smile that matched the energy of the place.

Read moreDo not ever gamble at this business and leave your machine to go outside and smoke. We came back in ( leaving over $ 600 in our slot at the bar, after notifying the bartender we were doing so) after smoking, to find ( what we found out to be a regular customer ) sitting at our slot playing it with our credits still in the machine...
This after we tipped out nearly $100 to the 2 bartenders and bought the bar a round of drinks.
When I confronted the regular customer in regards to him playing our machine with over $600 in credits in it) he denied knowing there were credits....yeah ok...sure.
In the midst of this happening, my wallet disappeared, and upon asking the management to check there cameras to help recover it, they refused and asked us to leave. Bottom line, subpar atmosphere, -1 stars on customer service, and food was completely average at best.
Gaming commission was called, as well as a police report on my wallet being lost with Reno Police.
**Update to the reply from the business owner. My wallet was found by one of your customers at your business.....I received this message (See photo) the following evening (Monday) - oddly the number doesn't belong to the individual on Facebook, however it was returned, so kudos to the honest guy.(Which I tipped 100 bucks for the return of it)
Since you claim to have so much video footage, perhaps you can see where it was found, and also see how well mannered we were leading up to the Slot fiasco, and how well we tipped out your bartenders, etc. Anyone else in that situation would have been just as irritated, especially when the bartenders acknowledged they would watch the machine when we went outside to smoke, but instead, defended the guy that put 20 bucks in a machine stating he Didn't know and upon entering his money into this machine, magically had over $600?. Cmon...really?
Yes you returned the money from our slot, as you should have, but please don't act like that's some act of generosity. If your bartenders want $1 tips instead of 10's and 20's, then sure, I guess you get what you pay for. Don't worry, we wont...
Read moreI've heard numerous times, from numerous people this was THE place to eat at any time of day. Never had the chance to stop in until tonight and I sincerely regret not coming sooner!
After the shinedown concert we wanted good food but it was late. As we drove by I remembered all the amazing things I've heard about the parlor. We were promptly greeted and sat in the most amazingly comfortable chairs to the right of the bar.
We started with coconut shrimp and potstickers. Both were piping hot fresh and amazing but The potstickers were next level. That dipping sauce though. My wife then had the French onion soup and I had chicken wings for my "salad". She said her French onion soup was the best she's had and I'm so glad to finally find amazing chicken wings in Reno that aren't slathered in garlic.
For entrees I want to start by saying I'm a pot roast fan girl. If I see pot roast on the menu I'm eating it, period. THIS. POT. ROAST. WAS. INSANE. That cabernet sauce I could put on ice cream. The mashed potatoes were soft and fluffy and the chefs veggies were perfectly al dente. The wife's salmon was great also with a generous portion of buerre blanc which most places are stingy about. But that pot roast guys. Seriously. I may go back tomorrow.
I'd seriously put this on one of my top places to eat in reno. It would be really, really hard to argue against this. We felt like we were at fine dining with a super relaxed vibe. We will be back soon, and we will...
