Empowerment Center — Local services in Reno

I would give zero stars if I could. This treatment center does not care about its clients — everyone is treated like a dollar sign rather than a person in need of help. The Executive Director has treated my daughter poorly and allows an environment where racism and discrimination against transgender and gender-diverse individuals are tolerated.

My daughter received little to no actual treatment while she was there, despite what we were led to believe. It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if there were deeper issues happening behind the scenes, including potential misuse of funds or billing for services that were never truly provided.

It’s devastating to see a place that’s supposed to offer care and healing instead cause harm and take advantage of vulnerable people. I would strongly urge anyone considering this facility to look elsewhere — families deserve honesty, compassion, and...

I was in this program after being released from incarceration, i was released to a inpatient 30 day rehab and then shipped here. This place really established new found structure in my life and they really help you with everything you could possibly want or dream of. The program director Steve is a very great man, has zero tolerance for bs lol. But a huge shout out to Kelly, Meg, dawn, Monica, Ashley, richard, Molly and my prss shannan. Everything was great at first then I got a job and did exactly what I was supposed to and all they did was make things harder on me. They told me I would have passes but eveytime I didn't meet their obligations they were taken away When I reported my things being stolen and damages they did nothing and retaliated they called authorities on me for a ticket I had so if you have any issues do not come here they will turn you in.
