Jack in the Box Review
My experience today at Jack in the Box was beyond frustrating. I went through the drive-thru and waited a few minutes to place my order. While on the phone with my mother, I ordered spicy bacon potato wedges, which she thought sounded so good that she went to her local Jack in the Box to order them as well. Here’s the kicker: while I was still waiting in the drive-thru line, my mother not only placed her order but received her food before I even got to the window to pay.
When I finally paid, I was told that the employee forgot to start my bacon potato wedges and was asked to pull around and wait in the parking lot. After waiting an additional 15 minutes, I decided to go inside to check on my order. Inside, it became clear that the restaurant was severely understaffed, with only two employees working—one cooking and one scrambling to take orders and handle customers—while 10 other people in the lobby were also waiting for their food.
I waited another 15 minutes in the lobby before getting impatient. When I reminded the employee what I was waiting for, she admitted she had forgotten to make the bacon potato wedges again. At this point, I told her to forget it and just give me the rest of my food and the lemonade I had ordered. To my surprise, there was no lemonade available, even though I had paid for it. Instead, she offered me a soda. However, the soda machine was out of all options and spraying iced tea everywhere.
After spending 45 minutes at this location, I left without the drink I paid for, without the bacon potato wedges I waited so long for, and without a refund.
I want to be clear that I do not blame the employees. They were clearly doing the best they could under the circumstances, and I commend them for their effort. However, I am baffled as to how this location only had two employees working on a Saturday—a day when fast food restaurants are typically busy. This lack of staffing is unacceptable, and it’s a disservice to both the employees and the customers.
This experience was absolutely ridiculous, and I will not be returning to...
Read moreI had gone into the store with my receipts to show them they cannot be scanned into the app to redeem rewards. I have over 400 points I cannot use because their receipts do not print the barcode at this location. The scanner code is worthless to redeem rewards. They are aware of the problem and don't care.
The male boss, Alec, yells at customers and refuses to help. He will treat you like garbage and tell you to go to another location. Also, when they forget food in your order and tell you to return to come get it, you will be treated like a criminal. Alec accused me of coming back twice to claim my lost food. I would never do that.
He never bothered checking with the manager who was working at the time. I normally go to Jack in the Box at least two times a week. Until now. Today we left and went next door to Jimmy Johns. After years of being a loyal customer, I am not okay with being falsely accused by an irate bully or being scammed by a rewards program that can't be collected on.
I also do not understand how this store gets away with refusing to adhere to the terms of the app. This is the store on Sunset (Fred Meyers Shopping) in Renton with very little business. Now you know why. There's a dictator running the location.
Ironically, I understood every word he was saying in Spanish to his staff including telling one of the girls to lie and say I'd already been there before to pick up my food. I had not.
He assumed I did not speak or understand him. Such horrible service. Sad because the rest of the crew and the food is great. He ruins it...
Read moreI cannot believe the attitude of the 2 employees I spoke with !!!!! I first spoke with a cashier by the name of aranza who had the attitude of ‘your ruining my day by just being here’ she seemed to not even know what was on her menu,or just didn’t want to take the extra effort to give us a hand . After just saying yeah that’s fine ,cutting my actual order short because I didn’t want to deal with her anymore, I pulled up to the pay window. Where she tried to hand me the wrong drink. After pointing this out to her she gave me an irritated look. After changing out the drink she sent the other employee, Marta, who as well could have cared less about anything regarding our order . Marta argued with me after I asked for curly fries, I was wrong as she showed with the receipt ,so I offered to just pay for a new fry to help fix the situation, where she then demanded the bag back to just replace them . After looking at the receipt, the cashier charged me for 3 drinks rather than 2 (not a big deal but simply adds to the irritation) all this to go home to STILL have the order wrong ,missing items, cold and massacred burgers, tasteless drinks, and so on. I repeat, I CANNOT BELIEVE these employees ,both of which seemed drugged out and high strung during all of this . Seriously if anything your 2 workers , Aranza and Marta honestly should NOT be employed in such a environment if they cannot at the very abide by simple personal restrains such as kindness and non hostility. Upset isn’t even the beginning of how I feel about this...
