Santa Fe Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Renton

We are long time loyal customers of this restaurant, both for the amazing food, and the consistently excellent service. However, tonight we had a frustrating experience. We normally dine there, but decided to do take out. The online system wouldn’t let me put my order through, and when I called they offered to take the order over the phone. After placing it I realized the total I was given was more without tip than the online price WITH a 20% tip. When I arrived and asked it was explained to me the online ordering system offers discount pricing. I expressed frustration because I tried to use the online system, and it wasn’t working, and was told I wasn’t the only one upset about it tonight and, “Sorry, I don’t make the prices.” So I was inconvenienced because your system was down, and then I have to pay way more for my food? Doesn’t seem right. Know if you place a take out order over the phone you will pay a steep up...

I used to go here frequently until I ordered to go on 08/30/21. While I was eating my meal there was a piece of glass I bit into that came from the beans. I was mortified. I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. In which I was passed along to three different people asking why I need to speak to the manager and why I was calling. Eventually I was put on the phone with the so-called manager. I let the “manager” know my concerns, he quickly replied and said, it must be a rock from the beans and that the dish washer is no where near the beans so there’s no way. I then told him if I ingested the piece of glass I could’ve been seriously hurt and he replies with “well we have insurance”. I’m extremely disappointed with their customer service and lack of care for the well-being of their loyal customers. I will not be back and I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else. We stopped in for dinner last Saturday night. The restaurant seemed really fun and upbeat, the bar was cool. We made a mistake and walked in through the back door but made our way over to the hostess table. The lady who seated us was very grumpy which started everything off bad. We waited for a very long time to get menus. I noticed that they were incredibly busy with take out orders, the restaurant was half full but not super crazy. The food was OK but I was really super disappointed with the service. They offered us guacamole which never came. It took a long time to get silverware. Even paying our bill took a long time period the problem is they are so busy they don't have time to stop and notice you. I would not go back to this restaurant again.
