Today I had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life at this Starbucks. The only reason I'm not giving a one star review is because this Starbucks typically has great service.
At about 12:45pm we went to the drive through to order food and drink. The woman taking our order said she had never heard of the spicy chorizo sandwich so we switched our order to just drinks. I ordered a Frappuccino and a "Grande white chocolate mocha", the woman thought I said a Grande Pike Roast so I politely corrected her. Once we pulled up to the window we were given a hot drink that was supposed to be the Frappuccino we orded, I handed the drink back and said "Sorry, this was supposed to be a Frappuccino". The woman said nothing but took the drunk, made an angry face and turned around looking angry and frantic. I've never seen a grown adult working throw a fit like a toddler but this is exactly what she did. She made us feel very uncomfortable for asking for the drink to be remade. After talking to the people making drinks she came over and shut the drive through window with a slam out of anger/frustration. About a minute later she opened the window and said "I need another 33 cents from you", her tone was rude and cold. I used my Starbucks app to pay the additional 33 cents. I thought it a bit ridiculous to be asked for this but wouldn't have minded if she would have used a single ounce of proper customer service skills. I don't know if she was just having a horrible day but she has zero customer service skills and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. I'm not one to write bad reviews but this experience is 100%...
Read moreI frequent 3 different Starbucks locations and this one is by far the worst. I only stop at this one because it is right by my work and we do coffee runs for everyone and our customers. The 2 by my house in Newcastle are a million times better. This location never makes my drink right even though they put in the order correctly. It just always tastes different and not in a good way. I don’t think they pay attention to how many pumps they put in. Their customer service is terrible. They always act like I’m a nuisance to them and are too busy to help me. One time I asked them to write Happy Birthday on the lid of my bosses drink for me and they told me they could give me a sharpie to do it myself because the person at the window doesn’t celebrate birthdays. Like ok?? You can’t get someone else to do it? I’m not asking you to go to the ocean and bring me back a fish. I’ve also asked for my drinks to be put in a carrier and a bag (like they do for delivery) because it is way easier for me to get into our locked office door with the 4+ drinks in bags and again they told me I could do this myself. Everything at this location is just extremely lacking. I’ve made the same kind of request at the locations by my house and they have never had a problem doing these things for me. The Newcastle locations always make my drinks right and have phenomenal customer service no matter what time of day or person working. Read moreWe ordered our drinks ahead of time and had a seamless experience. The problems started when we walked into the store and a grouchy old woman claiming she’s acting store manager had her eyes on us for whatever reason as we walked in and started to pick an argument with us after we said “Hi” politely. We were in a good mood, we sat down, great conversation with my friend and then I ordered a second iced tea that was supposed to be a refill. To my knowledge she wasn’t filling the rules that apply to refills is when I politely questioned to make sure she snapped at us and almost kicked us out of that store. Mind you before all this we used to go into this store a lot and Kristy the store manager is fabulous but Sam I believe is the one and is acting manager and this is the icing on the cake for us not to return. This store has gone so woke and a lot of the OG’s that we used to know have gone onto better jobs. From my understanding this woman has been here for almost 20 years and needs to retire. As long as she’s here we refuse now to come and visit here. This woman is never happy, last few times has not been friendly to us and other customers from what’s we’ve seen. If you want a better Starbucks experience go to another store or try something new like - Dutch Bros.! Stay away...
