Delicious food. Well it's the best food 7.50 a lunch meal will get you. I absolutely love the sushi and the chicken but they have the worst costumer service. As soon as I walk in, eyes mug at me. No, it's not just a glance, it's a mug. Now it's not for no reason, it's because they recognized me from the last time I went here. I went with my little brother whos only 7 a few months ago, and like any 7 year old, he gets more food than he can eat. The waitress went up to our table and told us "If you waste a lot of food, you cannot eat here". I apolagized and tipped them 3 dollars which she just took without a thank you or even a acknowledgement that I handed her a extra 40 percent of the original price. They brought us to a table and asked what to drink. I said a coke for me, and a water for my diabetic little brother. The waitress looked at me dead in the eye and told me if she caught me sharing my coke with my little brother, we will be charged for 2 cokes. This offended me but I wasn't going to go off on a lady in her mid 40s right in front of my 7 year old little brother, mind you I am only 19. The food was delicious. The hibachi was a very nice man. They handed us our bill along with 2 fortune cookies which I thought was a perfect way to end the meal. This brought me until a good mood until I saw that they had charged us 2 drinks and accused me and my little brother of sharing drinks. Now my little brother doesnt even like coke AND is diabetic so I dont have any idea where these allegations are coming from. I tell the table next to me and say "Can you believe this?! They just ripped me off 2 dollars. And I was going to tip them 5!" and the other family laughs and replies "They are always so stingy like this! Trust me, weve been going here for months now". I was relieved because I then knew that I wasnt the only one being targetted with such horrible customer service. To sum it all up, King buffet has delicious food, good prices, but horrible horrible horrible service. 2nd time I went here and sure as heck will be the last. Now I'm not writing this review to be mean or anything but just to give a heads up to anybody going to...
Read moreI'm a loyal patron at this restaurant, come here frequently and all of the staff know me yet, this one manager lady decided to ruin my positive experience eating here.
I came in for lunch time, ate ONLY the lunch items (didn't touch any of items marked "for dinner only"). Yes they were in the middle of changing to dinner time but I was just finishing up my lunch and was about to be done and pay. I went to their sushi bar for one last plate, again, still in lunch time and was just about to finish up, grabbed salmon sushi (yes salmon sushi that's also served for lunch time) and it was NOT marked "for dinner only" the only items marked as "for dinner only" were the eel sushi and the tuna poke to its left and to its right. I grabbed the salmon sushi (which again, NOT marked "for dinner only" and the salmon sushi is also served for lunch time anyway) then the lady said, "we're changing to dinner now" and I said okay, "I'm just finishing up my lunch and I'll be done". My understanding was that she was only letting me know they're changing to dinner which I understand but I came in for lunch time and I was just about to finish up just as it changed to dinner time AND I did NOT touch any of the items marked "for dinner only".
When I went to pay, this manager lady tried to charge me for dinner price she said (and rudely argued with me), "you ate all the sashimi (which was the salmon sushi she didn't even know the difference between sushi and sashimi, and again, it was NOT marked "for dinner only" and the salmon sushi is served on lunch time anyway). Let me tell you, she was extremely rude and argumentative and was very persistent in trying to charge me dinner price. After a solid minute or two arguing with her, she finally dropped it and charged me the lunch price then after I paid, I told her, "it's a shame you're treating me like this, I'm a regular customer I come here all the time now I won't come back here ever!" Her response, "okay fine!" with a very disrespectful attitude. Big loss on their end, I used to come here on a regular basis and I tip a good...
Read moreI had previously posted a bad review before and I update this review. I am was not a fan by any means to come back in especially when I had no choice but to come back in because I was with a few friends of mines who insisted in coming in.
I am pleased that the cleanliness of the food has improved and that the food is better maintained. I am thankful that these vital things are in their places for good business practices. If anything that I am most pleased with is that the steam rice is made fresh and not a nasty reheat with oil added to it, which can cause some very serious food illness.
The food selection is still lacks variety. The sushi is good and I have no complains about the sushi. The food is good in general but not the very best place in town to eat compared to others. The price for the weekend for the lack of selection and quality is no good.
I wish to see their Hibachi grill back. But the last time I asked they expressed to me that they will not be running the Hibachi anymore. But if they ever do again my suggestion is to offer a better quality bar that would be way better than how they had it before. I think if the Hibachi was offered at dinner time that would make a lot of sense.
Here you will find your good commercial food items to enjoy, but you won’t find really good food items made that you will find at the next buffet at Feast. Feast Buffet, I confess that they are way too expensive on the weekends and at dinner time, but they certainly have way better food items to offer.
I am not telling anyone to go to Feast Buffet instead. I am saying that King Buffet can in fact do way better than they themselves do. I just wish to see them do way better. Good business is all about making your customers happy and offering what is truly good. To the owners at King Buffet please take consideration to this review....
