Taqueria Birrieria Perla — Restaurant in Renton

This is the best taco truck in the entire south end of Seattle! Oaxaca style Tacos, burritos sopas, quesadillas,tortas, Quesabirrias! I found this little gem while I was doing construction in the south end of Seattle and after trying three or four other trucks, my entire crew agrees that this is the winner! If you’re a fan of Oaxaca style food, this truck will not disappoint! I had both the Asada and Carnitas burrito and I can’t remember having anything better. The Verde and habanero salsa are delicious beyond anything I’ve ever had. As a sidenote, I talked to the owner and asked why her rating was so low and she said that she took the business over a couple years ago and is recovering from the previous owner‘s bad reputation. Order 1 carnitas burrito. Wait 10 minutes, open it up and it is served on a dry whole wheat tortilla.. no heads up about the substitution or I wouldn't have even ordered. Bring it back .. told "oh, we did that because we haven't opened our order of regular tortillas". SO, JUST PLAIN LAZY and gonna serve the wrong item to customers. They remake it yet again, wait another 10 mins. Open it up and now a $14 burrito they remake with just rice, beans, meat, cheese. It's missing all other ingredients -pico, cilantro, sour cream, lettuce. Such a joke. 1st time going there and won't go back to these lazy...

The food is excellent but the service is simply awful. Long wait times and the teen male behind the counter obviously doesn't want to be there. He barely acknowledges your presence. They close early with no notice and often don't answer the phone for take out orders. They also charge about 30% more than the competition. Not the way to run a business in my opinion.
