Z Burger — Restaurant in Reston

1. the decision to open a burger shop where a previous burger shop closed is pure hubris. Guess they haven't told them the office is basically empty lol

2. I don't believe the beef is "cooked to order" - no one asked us how we wanted it cooked, the patties were just done as well as possible which was the point of no flavor.

3. burger was overall just not good and the buns taste like 2 day old Arby's rolls

4. milkshake was made before my burgers and just left to melt. In good news, they used very little milk so the bottom was still rock hard, just the top half was completely melted before I got it. That said, red flag with the amount of flavors they offer. When there are more ice cream options then an ice cream store, there will be something wrong, it's just a fact of life.

5. I'm not one to harp on this, but English comprehension is probably pretty necessary from front facing staff and it was tough to communicate when we don't share a language.

6. fries were overdone and had a weird taste. Was suggested from my fellow reviewers that it may be an oil issue.

Overall, zBurger fits the mold of tenants in this area that are soon to be footnotes in the bar conversations of locals as another example of a failed mid level restaurants that attempted to...

I never really write reviews, but this time I had to because I think other customers should know and be aware. My coworkers and I came here a few weeks ago on a Monday and got Food poisoning, which is weird because I myself have been to the McLean location a few times and never got sick, The next day after eating here with my coworkers, three out of the four that went, were in the bathroom The whole day at work. I had it worse, when I got home from work. We think we got it from the milkshakes because the three of the four that got sick, we had milkshakes and the fourth one didn’t get a milkshake and she wasn’t sick. Maybe the milk was Expired or maybe they left it out for too long, but whatever it was This place needs to be more aware of their cleanliness behind the counter. I didn’t want to leave a bad review simply because the mcclean location is great but, after what happened I don’t know if I can trust any...

So I love a good burger, but what I REALLY love are good fries. You really cant beat a hot crispy bag of perfect golden fries. Unfortunately I order on doordash, and that means that I'm almost guaranteed soggy miserable fries because they go into the bag already a little soft. That is NOT the case here at Z burger. I am an exhausted restaurant worker myself, off work late, and Z burger is always there, still open, and I order there all the time as a result. Let me tell you, I have never gotten fries this good delivered anywhere in my life. These fries are so freaking good that I literally called the restaurant, I kid you not, to THANK the guy who made them, a really sweet guy named Aniket. Its hard when you get off work late to get a good meal, and I'm really glad Aniket and his team are hard at work pumping out amazing fries and awesome burgers.
